Deciding betweeen whether buying this Kogan series 8 55" TV for $499 (12% off currently):

One has a Samsung panel and one has an LG panel. What is the difference?

Actually it has 63.6% more screen area (even though the width and height are only 27.9% longer).
the 43 is smart, but i would go for 55 as i will put something like a mibox anyway.
Yeh, read on another Kogan post the smart feature was useless. Better to just get a stand alone product for smart features.
Yea have no need for any Kogan "smart" solution. I have a Google Chromecast and that's all I need.
Think i will go for the 55" as only $50 more atm!
So there is no difference between a series 8 vs a series 9 apart form the panel manufacturer and the fact that series 9 has "smart" feature?
I would have thought there would be others in my situation trying to decide between the two as well.
I would buy from local store, as u add 3 yrs warranty and shipping, kogan is not that cheap
$499 for a 55" 4k TV is cheap. Even with 3 year extended care and delivery it comes to $607.30. I have not seen cheaper anywhere.
Any recommendations?
Agree , I bought a TV from Kogan two years ago and found that JB HI-FI offered similar price. Then I have no longer purchase from Kogan
I'm actually looking for a secondary screen like this and was about to post a thread but hi-jacking a comment in this thread may be easier.
Just a simple question, Kogan seems to almost have undeniably the best pricing for TV's — What's my downside other than not being able to take it to the store a 10min drive away if something goes wrong?
