AccorPlus Membership - Join for $385 and Receive Free Cabin Roller Valued at $239. New Members Only. Ends 30 June

110

I've been a member a while and find it's great value if you use it. This is the best offer I've seen for new members.

Highlighted benefits of the annual Membership:

  • 1 Free Night Accomodation at participating Accor Hotels (lots of Sofitel, Novotel, Pullman, Mercure etc… within Asia Pacific region)
  • Up to 50% off food bill when dining in their restaurants (don't need to be staying there) - ideal if you live near a hotel.
  • Members special room rates - especially "Red Hot Rooms" specials (you can preview these on the AccorPlus website)
  • Automatic Silver status = priority check-in, late check-out if available, free drink voucher and free internet.

I've been a member for a couple of years, using the free nights in Sydney during Vivid. I find you can easily save the cost of the annual membership using the free night and the 50% off food - you get that when 2 people dine together.

For example, just stayed at Sofitel Brisbane for 2 nights over the weekend for $122 per night (Red Hot Room rate for members) in a "Luxury City View Room" and enjoyed early check-in and 3pm late check out.

Whilst there, we enjoyed their excellent $49pp breakfast with sparkling wine included, worked out at $24.50 each for us (2 people for $49, 50% off). The dining opportunities are what makes this for me, you could argue that some meals are inflated to start with, but I'm loving this membership. Just a pity this offer is only for new members as am about to renew myself!

I always feel welcome as an AccorPlus member, not like they don't want you there saving your 50%. They always cheerfully apply the discount for me.

  • Does this apply if you sign up for Accor Plus overseas say in Fiji as it's cheaper?

    • Pretty sure its an EOFY offer for Australia, its a .au website etc.

    • I don't think so nightelves because if you go to the above link and click join after changing your location to Fiji, then it gives you a form to submit that they call back from to complete the signup process. However if your location is set to Australia then it lets you sign up online including payment. Setting it to NZ also gives you the full sign up ability for NZD$385 but for just that much saving I wouldn't take a chance given the Australian Residents requirement in the T&Cs.

Do you remember roughly how much it was in Fiji?

      • Yes $200

        • Wow that's cheap. Thanks for the info. Was it recently and do you remember if they had a requirement for Fijian residents only? It may not apply to this program but most of the luxury resorts (eg around Denerau) have a separate significantly cheaper rate for locals so maybe non-Fijians would be charged more?

        • Awesome thanks for that!

        • @ccrap:

If you do PM him ask if the cabin roller can be added with the membership.

        • I got the contact's details at Accor FJ. Will post back what I can find out from them.

        • @nightelves:
Unfortunately the free cabin roller only applies for membership applications completed via the AccorPlus Australian website (i.e. at $385).

        • @ccrap:
Could you provide me with the details as well.

        • @kommy: Hi kommy, best to PM Gaz1 (comment above yours) as the details should come directly from him. I haven't signed up to anything yet and don't have any 'referral cred' from Accor.

  • Hey OP, how often do you get the Red Hot room rate offers and are they good and relevant to your location?

    • if you are retired and happy to go to varying locations within a months notice it's worth it. Otherwise its not likely to come up as being a convenient holiday location.

I am in melbourne so locations are less likely to come up, i do see a number of NSW/QLD offers though

      • Thanks Peter, I'm also Melbourne based. Do they do many promos for Melbourne city?

        • +1

Here are the red hot rooms for Melbourne at this moment:
          Ibis Little Bourke St $67 Sun-Thurs 2/7-20/7
Pullman Melbourne on the Park $148 16/6-16/7 All days
          Mercure Melb Treasury $109 Sun-Thurs 16/6 - 4/8
          Cheers!

    • They update the red hot offers page every week (Fridays seems to be the day to check) and I see offers often for Novotel Twin Waters (Sunshine Coast, near me), Gold Coast, Brisbane, Far North, Sydney (M Gallery, Pullman Hyde Park especially) and loads more. There's not many in Tasmania, apart from Mercure in Launceston and Hobart, and Sebel in Launceston - from memory.
I've had mini-breaks at Novotel Twin Waters ($72 a night) and some of the Brisbane hotels (Pullman 110pn inc breakfast, Sofitel 121pn, Novotel 80pn etc) and lots of meals half price (e.g. Novotel Brisbane Airport when picking up someone from a flight, is quite handy). 2 Lunches in a nice hotel for $20 is easy!
So yes there's regular offers I can take advantage of and usually a good choice - I hang out to check them first usually, then book at 'best other' member rate if nothing available.
Oh and Cashrewards also applies since you're booking direct with Accor Hotels.

      • Those rooms sound cheap.

  • +1

They should have change the "Free" to Inclusive. You already paid for it through the membership just at a lower price.

    • LOL you and I must've worked at the same place before. My last employer was also totally hung up about using the word "free" in sales and marketing promos.

  • is the first free night available only for AUS or is it Accor worldwide properties?

    • Ok. Just quickly scanned the T&C and it seems that the free night is only available in APAC region with participating properties.'

OP you may want to update the your post please?

The Stay Plus benefit entitles the member to one complimentary night’s (a)accommodation (as part of their Accor Plus Membership) and is valid across the Asia Pacific region at participating hotels, subject to the conditions and limitations described below (“Stay Plus").

      • +1

Done. I find nearly all participate, but there's a few that don't (like the one right next to the Opera House in Sydney). It looks like the new Sofitel Darling Harbour (opens Nov 2017) will let you use the free room night (rooms look to be $500+ a night there).

    • +1

I think anywhere in Asia Pacific.

I've used it in Sydney and Manila.

This seems like a pretty good offer and seriously considering it as I'm staying 4 nights at a Sofitel next week…
