590

Asmodee Digital have most of their board games adaptations for sale on iOS for the next week.

They are all great games and worth picking up.

Ticket to Ride $1.49 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/ticket-to-ride/id432504470?m…
Colt Express $2.99 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/colt-express/id1140513212?mt…
Splendor $1.49 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/splendor/id971215921?mt=8
Pandemic $1.49 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/pandemic-the-board-game/id70…
Mr Jack Pocket $1.49 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/mr-jack-pocket/id853246110?m…
Onirim Free (was ($1.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/onirim-solitaire-card-game/i…
Mysterium $2.99 (was $4.49) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/mysterium-the-psychic-clue-g…
Small World 2 $1.49 (was $2.99) https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/small-world-2/id364165557?mt…

Small World 2 says it is a 32 bit app (and needs to be updated), but I contacted Asmodee Digital and they said an update was coming so it was safe to buy.

These are all great games! I actually purchased a few of these apps the day before the sale, so personally missed out on the savings, but got an email from them telling me about the sale after I signed up to their newsletter.

There has been some comments stating that the sale is also on Google Play. I don't use Google Play so can't verify. But if you are an Android user, the sale might be on there too.

All of the ticket to ride expansions are also $1.49ea. I believe this is also a sale price but can't confirm as appshoppper.com doesn't list them separately.

    • Thanks for that - I'm pretty sure that's a good reduction for the expansions

    • it's great fun on the paid as it does the score keeping automatically ……

    • Yeah individual expansion maps were previously going for around $5. There were good savings here so I picked up the rest of them.

Might want to add (and alter title) that all the above games are also on sale on Google Play but for $1.29ea only

    • Updated the title to include Google Play (I don't use Google Play so did not know the sale was on there too).

      • Ticket To Ride on Google Play isn't on sale. It's still $3.89

        • As mentioned, I don't use Google Play. I guess I will edit the title again to remove the Google Play reference.

    • Ticket to ride shows $3.89 to me on google play

Hmmm. I've never paid for an app in my life, and these look similar to the billion free games out there (some apparently even have IAP and ads for other games, not what I'd expect if I pay for a game!)… are any of these really worth it?

You can but the real board games for 50 plus if you prefer ;)

So I'm getting negs for asking if this is actually a "bargain"?!

They are charging for you to see ads and have in-app-purchases, and the best explanation is "a different thing cost more"! Ozbargain is normally more demanding of the deals, I don't get it…

These are well crafted app versions of some of the most popular and critically acclaimed board games on the market, not the same as the billion free games out there. Tried and tested game mechanics proven to give plenty of replay value, for less than the price of most chocolate bars. Sounds like a bargain to me.

@abducta: cool, thanks for the info :)

The IAP are for expansions of the game (but are not required). There are no banner ads or pop up ads either. There are 'ads' for the developers other games but you only see these if you visit the IAP shop. Personally I really liked these 'ads' as they pointed me to other games which I was interested in.

You should try and actually pay for an app. You will be surprised that there is a big difference between apps which are free and apps where you need to pay. Software developers need to earn a living too.

Thanks! The reviews didn't make that clear, thus the question :)

Software developers need to earn a living too.

Totally! I buy desktop software and games all the time… I don't have any objection to paying for cellphone apps, I just want good software and hate nagware of any kind :)

    • Is $3.89 the usual price? Because Jaipur is $3.89.

      • Jaipur is not on sale. It was only just released, so that is the usual price. On iOS it is $4.49
