Hey Guys,

Bumped into the add for the headset for $15 (normally $47 at OW or $48 at Harvey Norman, we ordered 7 online and waiting if the deal goes through.

I called a store in Perth and confirmed the price is $15 and local stock is still available depending on store.

Online stock looks to be sold out.

Some stores reporting sold out.

  In devices like this, you pay a lot for branding. Manufacturers make good margin. Hardly anything special here.

  • You can turn a regular (2x 3.5mm plug) headset into a USB headset with a $1 USB sound card (ebay)
  • You can also buy $1 combined headset/mic 3.5mm plug adapter by searching 3.5mm mic headphone cable adapter (ebay) if you prefer to stay analogue with newer devices having a combined PHONE/MIC jack.
  • headsets themselves (especially in-ear ones) go for well under $5 on ebay
