Do you want free shipping or lower page price without free shipping?

Morning Guys

I noticed few people think our free shipping are too slow. normally 3-5 weeks but of course it will be arrive. please keep in your mind, that's why we can offer such bargains. so i think maybe i can make a little change.

  • 1 still make deal with free shipping

  • 2 make a deal without free shipping, but offer lower page price.

for example:
if i make a deal for mi band 2, usually i will set $19.99US with free shipping.
but after changed, the page price would be $18.99US more or less without free shipping.

By this way anyone who think free shipping are too slow can choose other faster shipping way with lower page price. Such as DHL.

what do you think?

    Why not leave as is with free shipping but give people option to upgrade to faster shipping for a fee.

        Sounds like you have bigger problems then… I'd get my priorities in check first.

      this is the real answer, imo anyone that expects free shipping from sites like yours to arrive in less then a month is kidding themselves, its almost standard amongst your competitors that if customers want faster shipping they pay for it

      and if your IT guys can rig that up then boy do you need some new IT guys

    Lots of websites offer a few different methods. I would rather free shipping. Fasttech offer express shipping cheap using epacket and or Auspost. Also Aliepress sellers usually use epacket for free if you ask them that is usually around a 2 week wait.

      that's different, we are different company so situation are different. actually our ship team are keep trying to find a cheap, fast,safe way to deliver package, also need suitable for my company. but i have to say , our ship team are not very strong. if i can make decision, i'm willing to build a AU warehouse lol

        I dont think an AU warehouse will be feasible its expensive here? Only AU warehouse from a main Chinese seller would be DX. If they still have a warehouse here.
        Other companies that drop ship still have different postage options? I am not saying that you drop ship but they must be other options.

    Whichever provides the total cheapest cost to the customer - people will factor in shipping, if you could make it easier for them to see the whole cost then that would be ideal. Try to do both - offer competitive prices and work with your logistics provider to find the cheapest/best solution to keep the customers delivery costs "reasonable".

    Reality?

    You need to be able to ship it to people, delivered in less than 1 week, and at a lower price than they can get in Oz.

    Reality strike 2 - Amazon are coming around the corner. They will do fast fulfilment AND offer good prices. They are also reliable and trustworthy(ish). You'll have to do better than them, or be a 3rd party merchant via them.

    Probably a good time to work out how you can achieve that …

    I tend to look at deals with free shipping first because people may assume shipping cost will be expensive.

    You have to offer alternate shipping options.
    if your IT guy cant do it find someone who can.
