$1 meals. No delivery fee. Let the food race begin!
In a tribute to both the annual French bicycle race the Tour de France and Melbourne’s food fanaticism, Deliveroo is launching Tour de Melbourne. It's delivering $1 meals with no delivery fees.
The spree will involve 50 bike riders moving through five Melbourne suburbs, one by one. Starting in Collingwood, the flow will go to Melbourne CBD, Port Melbourne, Prahran and Richmond, and cover some surrounding suburbs.
Once the bike riders move into your neighbourhood, you can order your $1 feed. You can track their progress via the Deliveroo Facebook page to see when it's your neighbourhood's turn. Once they've past you, you've missed your chance.
Deliveroo will collaborate with restaurants such as Lazerpig in Collingwood; Oriental Teahouse in the CBD; Prahran’s Tokyo Tina; and Gelato Messina in Richmond, which is offering milk chocolate and coconut gelato with house-made lamingtons, and the Chillax Princess, with white chocolate and coconut cheesecake gelato with salted caramel swirls.
The one-day only Tour de Melbourne starts at 12pm.
