Advice needed in regards to : $1 accomodation per night @ Park St Cottage In Melbourne

Pfft, i am absolutely appauled. i just received an email stating:

“Unfortunately this in not a valid booking due to a website pricing error.

Apologies and regards, Keryn Mc Guinness”

i believe this is terrible business practice and regardless of any problems that weren’t my fault, they should honour the offer that i paid for. i received a confirmation number and for that reason i don’t believe they should be able to cancel this deal!

Can anyone advise me where i stand on this legally, as i would like to write a letter to the Park Street Cottage to inform them of my disgust.

thanks, Carla

  • Hey Carla. Website pricing error does happen from time to time but from past experiences the store could also cancel the orders. I'm not sure about the legal t&c, I couldn't find it on the website.

IMHO, $1 for accomodation is far too cheap and if they decided to honour those who've made the booking, we'd be crushing their business. I agree that they need to do something to honour the offer but I think we shouldn't come on them too strongly either.

I'm pretty sure lots of people who have made the booking will express their dissapointment and hopefully they will change ther mind eventually.

Hope you could sort it out. :)
