  • Not many $1/night left — better be hurry!

  • yay!
I booked a couple of nights
at this stage i am a bit skeptical, i can't find any information about this 'cottage' anywhere online? if anyone knows anything please share
but for $1 isn't a great loss anyway > any idea why its so cheap?

  • A cottage in South Melbourne? Call me skeptical but it looks more like someone's house. Still $1/night is a bargain, too bad its Sold Out.

  • Should expire this as per the above … great deal though

  • Pfft, i am absolutely appauled.
i just received an email stating:

"Unfortunately this in not a valid booking due to a website pricing error.

    Apologies and regards,
    Keryn Mc Guinness"

i believe this is terrible business practice and regardless of any problems that weren't my fault, they should honour the offer that i paid for.
i received a confirmation number and for that reason i don't believe they should be able to cancel this deal!

Can anyone advise me where i stand on this legally, as i would like to write a letter to the Park Street Cottage to inform them of my disgust.

    thanks,
    Carla

  • Probably should check with barguy to see where the deal was listed. It doesn't appear to be listed on Roamfree.

I'm no legal expert but I think the company has right to cancel the order due to a website pricing error. From the numerous threads on Whirlpool with pricing errors, they either cancel the order or as good customer service fulfill it.

I still would find it strange to advertise a deal like this, and then not honour it, but who knows it could have been a hoax by a rival hotel.
