Which VPN Help?

I require VPN for Kodi not been using one for months as thought getflix did so.
Found a article saying pure VPN was number 1?

Here is what they voted in order:

Purevpn
Ivacy
Express VPN
Hidemyass
Nord VPN

What do you recommend? That works does not slow your connection down and can be set up on iPad,android phones etc.

Also best price also

I'm getting a deal with pure VPN at $2.44 per month but fir 2 years, I'm hearing hidemyass is good to use and even Nord VPN about $79 for two year I'm not sure if this is USA dollars or au dollars.

I'm confused and just want to get one ASAP.

  • I tried Nord. Found them slow.

    Torguard is my go-to.

  • All articles reviewing VPN's are advertisements. Well OK not all (but they all are).

You are not going to get full speed VPN's until you start paying a lot like 25 bucks a month a lot.

Out of the VPN's I've tried Private Internet Access (PIA) has been the fastest.

    Nord was also slow.

    Hide My Ass is terrible.

    • Lol $25 a month?

I use Private Internet Access and get full speed. For about $3 a month.

I use IPVanish, bit pricier but worth. Fast, many servers, good support and NO log files.

    • But I thought it was recommended to keep away from USA VPN? And was recommended to stick with Australian VPN for maybe speed
Ip vanish was one I was going to go for but everyone seems to say different VPN.
I do already have getflix which was or was for Netflix but I thought this was a VPN and it's not yet they do have a free VPN with my subscription I hear it's crap

I use ExpressVPN but they are around $120 per year. Highly recommended and no loss of speed experienced thus far.

  • Ok apart from price what's why not Pia over ipvanish or expressvpn

Funds are a big issue at moments so do they have specials on,yet you hear others say ipvanish or not good and express,it's a lot of money to pay out if does not work good.
Also would need to be simple as to set up or use.

    • ExpressVPN have a 30 day money back guarantee so if your not 100% satisfied you can cancel and get a full refund.
It is very easy to setup - takes less than 5 mintues per device.

    • Still cant decide and that site does not really tell me much

  • I don't know about kodi, but Private Internet Access (PIA) works well and support all the OS platforms and very easy to use.
Plus I have noticed few users in here and whirlpool using it, so easy to get help.

Why is it you look, read and watch reviews and everyone says a vpn is great another says crap, some are expensive yet are still classed crap.
And some say if usa keep away which ipvanish and express is.
Pia does not seem to have much countries.
Probably is most of these services you pay and turns out crap your stuck with it.
Would be ideal if its cheap but they say you only get what you pay for.
Express vpn does sound good but that price is a put off, others offer discount one way or the other.
Ip vanish was one i had been thinking of up before posting this then i watch a vid and guy says keep away.
Bloody why is it so hard to pick right one?does not seem to be that one everyone wants or goes for.

  • Don't bother with PureVPN, worst vpn I've used. Their android app is just crap and Windows program isn't much better either. Half of the time I'd have trouble establishing a connection and even after it's connected the speed is horrible.

TorGuard was ok, a bit better than PureVPN but speeds were generally pretty bad. (This was 2-3 years ago though, so things might have changed)

CyberGhost was pretty good, speeds were good once connected but their applications (Android & Windows) were slow and clunky.

PIA has been the best out of the ones I've tried. Great speeds, easy to use Android and Windows apps. Down side is that they're generally more expensive.

    • But im sure i heard pia are on there way out or have terrible customer service but i do believe they are much cheaper than ipvanish and express vpn is there currently deals on with pia and can you try before you buy?

  • I can get pia for $2.50 a month for 2 years or $3.33 for 1 yr are they worth trying and is this a good price.
I do want to mostly use for kodi.
I was going to go for ipvanish as a few you tubers have recommended them.
But i believe pia is popular?
Should i just get the yr whoever i pick to try out or 2 years.
I don't have my own modem just one provided by phone company and im adsl 2,i want to be able to use the vpn or control it from android phone, ipad and maybe pc and sony tv if possible.
I could be looking at vids and reviews for weeks on end and still not decide as many say one and others say something else.
If only there was one many used and and got top marks then it be cool but seems to be very mixed.

  • Thanks for all the recommendations guys and thanks OP. I'm going to try setting up Kodi and PIA on my ubuntu laptop this week.

Just turned off the Foxtel Sports pack and am going through withdrawals.

    • How is PIA download speed?

  • Just thought i'd chuck this link here, it gives you a 3 day trial of NordVPN

    • Wangle VPN gives you 30 days..

      • +1

I guess that would help if you wanted to test Wangle, but doesn't really help if you want to test Nord servers…

        • True… I misunderstood your post, in regards to the OP's list. :)

Edit: Though, if you were looking at any VPN's, surely you would have at least visited their site ;)

  • what does everyone use for kodi?

    • PIA (Private Internet Access)

      AUD$60 per annum.
