  • Don't see this as a bargain when similar 160 Watts Monocrystalline Portable Folding Solar Panel can be purchased on ebay as low as $140 sometimes.
    Can pick up a 250w for $219.

    • "… can be purchased on ebay as low as $140 sometimes."

Are you referring to the 10%, 15%, 20% off eBay promotions? If so, that's not a valid comparison. If not, then how about providing a supporting example link with your neg?

      • Ebay sales have been happening almost everyday now, so i think it is a valid neg

        • @Bargain4Days

Thoroughly disagree. Last month there was but where are you site-wide daily big discounts now? With logic like that you would neg any deal not on eBay.

    • You might be right but without an example we can't tell. Not all systems are equal. You need to check the quality of things such as frames, builds, connections and controllers for a valid comparison.

    • An example here for $162, or $154 with the 5% discount.

The MAXRAY one does have a MPPT which adds value, but I still wouldn't rate this as a bargain as there are always plenty of similar (or better) priced options around.

No mention of certifications on that for example. 5% ebay discount applies on the Outbax one also.

Big problem I have with this listing is the misleading mention of List Price/discount. Unless Outbax sells this normally at the list price (and Ebay history says they don't) they are breaking consumer law and would do well to remove that from their website and ebay listing. Worth a neg for that alone.

      • Check the surface area of the panels on eBay. I recently got stung buying a 250w panel which turned out to be much less output.
Maxray has a calculator on their site:
        http://maxray.com.au/solar-panel-wattage-output-calculator/
Do a search for 250w folding panels on eBay.
Then do a quick exercise for what output each one has, top 5 listings in my search result result in questionable output according to the calculator. Not sure the reliability of this calculator though?
