    I love mine!

  • I love mine too , but lying in bed with em on the jack connector jabs me in the shoulder unless my head is straight.

hahaha this is the ultimate definition of "first world problems" lol

Better in what way? Just curious

      • second this question. for the price, nothing touches them.

bought the black one at 150, very good headphone. white one is very tempting as i love white color, just not very stain durable.

Sound is great but I find the clamping force is uncomfortable after a few hours.

    • Haven't found that personally, but you'll probably find you can (carefully) stretch them out so they're more comfortable.

    • bend them. google m50 mods, there's plenty of options to make them more comfortable.

Damn i have so many headphones already, really tempted to buy another one of these. Would recommend big time! Best headphones in the cheaper category in my opinion. And I'm the retard who's spent a lot of money on mediocre headsets that cost more than this.

Great price, and good find OP. I paid $180 AU delivered from Amazon UK a long while back and thought I did well then (Got a carry case thrown in that I never use as they don't get put away). Great sound quality, but of course this depends on what you think is good. I feel that they are studio style cans myself, I do not hear exaggeration in any part of my music myself, but others say they are push the bass too much, others say they are too sharp in the treble end.
Good idea to listen to a pair before you buy, rather than just going on one persons recommendations as we all have our own preferences.
Loved mine from day one, best pair of cans I have ever owned as far as I am concerned. Very comfy, hardly know I have them on, easily go to sleep while listening to classical, but I do not have a melon head or a pin head (57cm, which is average. If your head is 70cm and up then I assume they will feel tight). The outside sound isolation is good also, but wearing them while out walking would be dangerous as you would not hear traffic (Plus looking like a cyberman from DrWho).

  • How does it compare to Bose qc35 on the sound department not nc, thinking of getting one because of rave reviews?

    • JBHIFI have a few pairs on display. I'd recommend taking a phone in with a song you can test to see if you like them.

    • The m50x probably isn't as good as some of the "rave reviews" indicate, but then again the sound quality of the Bose is pretty overrated. End of the day they're completely different sets of headphones, unless you really have a need for noise cancelling (bearing in mind that NC isn't the "cone of silence" most people think it is) then I'd probably go the m50x.

I have both. M50 sound is better by a mile, no contest.

That being said, I love my QC35 and recognise that that they are in a totally different category - noise cancelling and portability.

Based purely on sound and bang for buck, M50 is the go to - although I wouldn't pack them for a plane ride or commute.

  • Had these, sound great, easy to drive.

If you have larger ears, don't like high clamp pressure or get hot ears they may not be for you.

  • What are these like compared to the good old ATH-AD700? I'm still using mine after about 7 years and they are still perfect. Easily the most comfortable headphones I've ever used.
