  • Code isn't list on cashrewards so you probably won't get the cashback

    • Actually I can confirm I did get 28.64 cash back

That is just the tracking that happens for all sales. You have to wait for the 3 months or however long it is before you find out if the cashback has been approved.

        • ah ok, well I'm not counting on it so if I get it it will be a nice bonus :)

I like how they've just straight up not told you the refresh rate, even in the spec sheet. Really helpful.

If anyone is wondering, it appears to have a max of 76Hz.

    • Good info. I dont think this one is targeted for gaming anyway. So 76Hz should be fine.

    • I think it's only 30Hz. From the spec sheet:

      "Max pixel rate: 300MHz"

      • That would be incorrect. 300MHz is in the order of 150 million times the standard 60Hz ratio and 300 million times the 30Hz you claim.

        • Yeah I didn't really understand it, but comparing it to a 60Hz monitor (the X1) the Lenovo specs say that one is 600MHz so I figured that was the refresh rate just measured in a different way.

@narcoleptic-haze: Would likely be due to difference in resolution. I'm assuming the X1 has a 4k screen which is double the number of pixels of this 1440p monitor which means it should have double the pixel rate to have about the same screen refresh rate. From the sounds of it, the pixel rate is just how fast the monitor can clock in each individual pixel. 300 MHz / (2560 x 1440) = ~81 Hz, which is pretty close to 76 Hz.

        • +1

@narcoleptic-haze: The two are not directly related.

pixel (fill) rate refers to the number of pixels that can be rendered to the screen in a second.

refresh rate refers to the number of times per second that a video screen is updated, regardless of whether it is new or old information.

  • Is this the best price for a wqhd 27" at the moment? MSY has a wqhd 25" for $228…

  • missed the following deal 3 weeks ago,

    ASUS VZ27AQ 27" WQHD 2K (2560x1440) IPS Monitor $407.72

  • as the market for 1080p is saturated , higher resolutions which become more mainstream on shelves as they want people to upgrade …… if you already have a decent 1080p monitor would you upgrade to another 1080p or QHD ?

  • no speakers? :( need to get their sound bar if wants the lenovo look~

    • +2

Even a $10 pair of USB speakers is better than the crappy speakers they put in monitors, which is why hardly anyone includes them anymore (and those who do charge a premium)

      • Yeah i'm considering the X1 but honestly, the speakers and the silly webcam thing are putting me off..
