UNO Playing Card Game $5, Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothbrush $7 @ Woolworths

430

Same deal posted 4 months ago is now back. Found at West Ryde Woolies but should be available at all Woolworths stores. About 20 packets left at West Ryde.

Also available: Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothbrush is now $7, down from $20. Haven't tried it before but it's worth a shot for the price. Has a little tube with gel inside the package which you apply to sensitive teeth. The hardness of the brush is extra soft. I've seen this price at multiple Woolies stores so safe so say it's at least NSW wide (I think).

Mod: Combined posts.

The product packaging is completely different and most likely won't contain genuine UNO cards. The quality and finishing of the cards most definitely won't be as good as the ones made by Mattel.

If you want cheap UNO cards, then use ebay or get them from a dollar shop. If you want genuine UNO cards, which are of higher quality and finish, go for the ones sold by Woolies. Genuine UNO cards are glossy, thin and easy to shuffle. Non-genuine cards often have a rougher finish and tend to wear more easily.

      • this is true but it'll all inevitably turn into the same folded, worn and ripped condition due to the rage-induced nature of this game ^^

You need to find the right people to play with. My mates are pretty tame so fortunately my cards are still in good condition. As long as you don't play draw 4's all the time, then you can be sure that you won't get glassed by one of your mates.

yep - our 'genuine' pack from 20 years ago is still going.

the cheapo ones tend to last a year or so before being tossed

      • @sandp - These could be a grey import. They are the 2015 edition that has extra cards you can customise yourself. Branded as Mattel. I just bought them and quality seems fine.

        most likely

        Huh?

    • RE: the ebay linkers…… Yes cheaper and (from what I can tell) not genuine Mattel brand, so probably poor quality.

What kind of equations are hidden behind the toothbrush?

        • -1

Don't try and fool us. It looks like some kind of chemical equation to make explosives from toothpaste.

@jv: … To blast the bacteria out of the mouth.

I asked my dentist about my sensitive teeth and he said that toothpaste won't fix it, that in most cases sensitive teeth means there is an underlying problem like a deep cavity that is infected, or a crack in the tooth or filling, tooth grinding, gum erosion, etc. So a pain masking toothpaste is not the answer, but dealing with the actual problem is what is necessary.
I'm not saying that is the case for everyone, but I would suggest getting a dentist check first if you have painful teeth.

Isn't sensitive toothpaste for millennials so that their emotions aren't hurt and won't suffer from micro-aggressions?

You are right. Although I sensitivity-relieving tooth paste still have their place treating symptoms while the person works on the underlying problem.

It is like putting on a bandaid. The bandaid doesn't fix it but it will protect while the body heals. In the case of tooth sensitivity, the tooth paste will ease the pain while you improve your diet, brushing technique etc.

  • I bought plastic uno cards from reject shop for $8.50. No issues with gloss or fold or tear.

  • shouldnt this be in the toys or board games section?

  • Dang. Bought the genuine ones from Kmart a month or so ago. Oh well. Still awesome though although my deck had some new cards in it like "swap cards with other player" and "Choose your own wildcard" (basically a joker).
