Trouble Connecting Natural Gas BBQ to Gas Line

Hi All,

I'm having some trouble connecting my natural gas BBQ to the gas line on my patio. Basically, I can fit the connector into the line, but can't get the 'easy valve' locking mechanism to click back into place.

Please see video here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yboywcjqrqdxdi3/Video%202017-07-16…

Does anyone have any advice? I'm afraid I wont be able to change the valve on the gas line as it looks cemented on.

Thank you!

Yep, get a qualified gasfitter/plumber - there are some things that are best left to professionals.

  • I have done this on 2 BBQs, and it is well worth the effort.

Take the BBQ to a specialist BBQ place, and they will replace the regulator and heads.

They will also supply a bayoneted hose.

You will need to get a qualified gasfitter to install the correct rigid pipe to the house supply.

Please don't try to do it yourself.

  • A cigarette lighter will help you find any leaks.

  • I've never seen one like that before. I'd get a qualified plumber to fix a mains gas supply near your house, a Bangkok streetfood vendor would have far safer setup.
