eBay site takes a long time to load when using Google Chrome?

Hey all.

does anyone else experiance Ebay taking a long time to load pages using google chrome?

Each time i go into a listing, goto My ebay, or any new page, ebay appears to freeze for a few seconds before loading the page.
It only happens in chrome.

This happens to a few different computers that I have.

Does it happen to anyone else, and if so; is there a fix?

Cheers

I have noticed this recently with eBay/Chrome too. Searching for items seems to freeze the browser for quite a long time. Very annoying. I have AdBlock installed so it's unlikely to be the typically poor quality advertising shown on websites being the cause.

    • Surprised because AdBlock sorted it out for me.

      • Ah, correction. I have AdBlock installed, but disabled for eBay to make sure CashRewards works. I've enabled it again, and browsing is back to being speedy.

Advertisers, fix your garbage! You're actively forcing us to use blocking software because your ads are so poorly designed.

  • I have noticed this too, was contemplating reinstalling Chrome, but looks like I am not the only one. I have started using Firefox to browse ebay instead these days.

    ANSWER: It's the ads.

Get the AdBlock plugin for Chrome from the Chrome store. Install, restart your browser and ebay browsing speed will be fixed. Worked for me!!

  • I have the same issue.
When I open it in incognito mode, it loads normally though.

  • I dont have this problem

Dont use Adblock use uBlock origin.

  • perfect, looks like that fixed the problem :)

    • What did?

      • The Ad Blocker extension :)

        • What about cashback or points rebate? It may disable the tracking meanwhile!

I just use Edge for browsing and complete transaction thru chrome.

  • Happens to me too, but only on one of my computers.

  • Try Opera browser with built-in adblocker

  • Try to clear browsing history, reinstall chrome, or remove any recent addon that may have cause it. You can also try portable Chrome to see if it makes any difference?
