  • I can't believe how expensive these little cameras are. But I stil love my G7X II.

    • +1

These are mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. A more comparison would be towards DLSRs with APS-C sensors or other mirrorless cameras with m43 sensors. Its a different product compared tot he G7X II which is a point and shoot with a 1 inch sensor.

      • Yeps, I get that. I agree these are great cameras, although I still really like the portability of point and shoot cameras.

        • +2

you might be surprise how compact these are

        • +3

If you get that, then how do you still think they are expensive and why do you still confuse and compare them to point and shoots?

        • These cameras are portable..

        • No 180 degree flip out screen ruins this for me

  • Damn I remember seeing the NEX-3 for less than $300 around five years ago. It’s practically the same camera.

      yeah i dont think so

Sony are the only cameras where the price goes up the older each model gets…I picked up my a6000 + kit lens for under $550 over 2yrs ago!

    • They dont replace models on the a6xxx or rx series

I got a6000 kit for $602 from HN, 2 years ago.

I also got mine for $550 after cashback from HN, 2 years ago. Best buy ever!

    • Is this actually true or are you bring sarcastic?

      • +1

All true! Some great deals back when these were initially released but Sony has been creeping the prices up ever since. Don't get me started on their full frame camera price hikes….

Edit: found the JB receipt for my a6000 purchase. It was a Sony Summer promo where you purchased the a6000 body and got both kit lens for free…during this promo JB had a 20% off sale and the deal was OzBargained.

        • That's crazy. Yeah, their A7 range is crazy in price, but that's because people pay the price.

        • still cheaper (and better) than canon :(

  • There have definitely been better deals in the past. Still a good camera and I don't know why anyone would want an entry level Dslr over this, or an Olympus omd em10mk2.
