    Have they given any examples for what's on sale? I haven't gotten any email yet. Also, can you negotiate price and then show 5% voucher only when paying?

      I wouldn't be mentioning the 5% if you're negotiating. The salesperson usually hands you off to the counter staff for payment anyway, which is when you would hand over your discount voucher.

      Yes I did this last year. It was actually the camera staff that told me about the deal and I was still unsure of the price so he went down a bit more.

    Great deal on the Nintendo Switch, Grey or neon console + a game for $488 ($463 after 5% discount). Below console RRP with a bonus game, and the security of buying at JB (as opposed to Kogan). Should I bite?

    having just bargained hard on something recently, do the staff simply say, oh you have a 5% voucher, good for you, thats another 5% off, as with my purhcase my rep came up to the register with me to help me finalise everything

    or do they say, sorry my friend, you cant combine

      It says "GET AN EXTRA 5% OFF etc." so I'm assuming it's on top of the already discounted prices. If it's not, then false advertising on their part.

        On top of listed discounted price, sure. But for all we know, they might refuse it if you pull it out after already haggling and agreeing on price. I have no idea, but they've run similar promotions before, so someone should know.

          Last year I got the (heavily discounted) promo price reduced a bit further and still used the 5% on top of this. The voucher doesn't need to come into play until you are paying.

      Today Only on top of any other discounts they have TODAY. Yes you can stack with gift cards.
