Is this the second version? The one I bought maybe 8 months ago, the batteries don't last very long. The batteries that came with the controller last 2 twice as long and I find the battery packs just die no warning.
Does the packaging look same?
No. Mine was a black box, however design of the holder and batteries is the same

I grabbed one the other day and it's great. Exposed connection on the back means you just place the controller on the dock instead of fiddling with the flimsy micro usb (I've got 2 xbone controllers with half broken micro usb ports due to wear and tear).
And I thought ozbargainers have stackloads of Eneloops ? :-)
But, are the new Eneloops (Panasonic) any good?

Not sure … but most people will have lots of the old ones … I guess I have over 100.
But saying that … this deal is not bad … not sure if the Energizer are any good … but sounds like a decent deal!
Eneloops don't allow me to just place the controller on the charger to charge it though. For $28 this is a very convenient controller solution.
