  Hmm.

  I just bought the AKG K712 Pro from the other deal for $247.50.

  Anyone know how these compare?

  Apparently X2 weighs 381g, which is pretty heavy.

  What are "hi-res" pads?

  Are these X2 neutral sounding or V shaped?

  What is the difference between X2/27 and X2/00?

  UPDATE: Was tempted, but instead of buying an 11th pair of headphones decided I'll put it off unless X2HR is up for similar prices. Knowing my luck, that will happen tomorrow…

    I think X2/27 and /00 are the same: 27 for US and 00 for EU.

    K701 to 712 semi-open headphones are more neutral and the bass are sharp/fast so if you want more bass, the fidelio is better.

        That didn't last long, but I'm kind of glad. I can't help myself when it comes to headphones.

        But KG or Futu do these on ebay for $239 a lot whenever there's a 20% off deal. That's only $12 more than Amazon ES for local warranty. Might be better waiting for that.
