Breville The Smart Toast 4 Longslot (Cranberry) - $99 (Was $179) @ The Good Guys

100

Just purchased one, very even cooking and useful features, I never thought I would buy a $99 toaster but the lower priced 4 slices we looked at were pretty rough.
2 year warranty.
Main drawback was that the wife insisted on the matching kettle but at least it was on sale as well. :)

"The Smart Toast™, with motorised ‘Fruit Bread’™, ‘Lift & Look’™ and ‘A Bit More”™ automatically takes the guess work out of toasting times for different bread."

  • I have one and find it annoying. The bread pops up after 10 seconds of cooking and i have to do it again. Also does a bunch of other annoying things. Had a DJ's voucher to use so bought it otherwise give it a miss i reckon

    • +1

If it's still under 2 year warranty take it back for replacement as it is obviously faulty.

      • Cant find the receipt and bought if with a gift card

    • Finding the exact same thing, not sure what the issue is, once find the receipt will have to take it back I think.

    • Mine has the opposite problem. The shortest toasting time is too long for some dark breads…

  • Nice find, but trying to find the silver one cheap, so hard to get.

  • Got this two weeks ago (Ebay $120) with the matching kettle. Works great with clever features!

  • Mine had bad electricity buzzing feedback. Had to keep turning it off at the wall.

  • We have the 4 slot toaster version of this. Had an issue with it not toasting evenly and TGG tried a few things to address the issue. They couldn't fix it (even swapped us for another one) but were great to deal with (TGG Warrawong).

Wife ended up contacting Breville itself and after some initial issues, Breville were also good to deal with and shipped us one that we are still using and been happy with.

No issues with this one so far (after ~6 months) - just be aware that the quality control may not be as consistent as it should be.. but we really like the unit we have now…
