Pretty massive discount on these collectors editions. I really feel for the people who paid $250+ when these came out. They were marketed as strictly limited though

    I want the Nomad, but I already have ME:A on pc and I'm sad to say it's not terribly enjoyable, which is a shame because i loved the $hit out of the previous 3 ME games. That said, the Nomad collectible did actually seem pretty sweet when I saw it in store, and it's a pretty big bit of kit too. Well worth $68 but I wouldn't pay much more for it

      I have it on pc too. Played abit in launch and saw how bad the facial animation was and stopped until they finish patching it up before I continue it again.

      Gonna grab the nomad and sell the game off haha

        I want to do that too, but I just spent way too much money recently on Dreamcast stuff… the wifey would kill me if I brought another toy home!

          @nytrojen: My Ex was similar. Would ask if she can buy something, but i wouldn't say frugal, just needed my permission, never had to hide my gaming expenses as we both enjoyed them.

          @Velathial: My wife hates video games. We will never see eye to eye on those things. She's also completely non-materialistic, which is a good thing, but it means she'll never understand my love for everything Dreamcast related :(

          @nytrojen: yeah, i really want to expand my dreamcast collection, but i plan to move to japan after my studies are done so i might hold off.

          I currently happy with my mint complete in box Skies of arcadia and Shenmue 1&2 (which i still have to actually beat).

    Not to be that guy, but anyone else find it odd that they say "strictly 1 per customer" etc, but then 1 years or so (half a year, 2 years etc) they still have the "collector" ones? E.g Halo 5 LCE ($250 or so one) was being sold by MS Ebay store a month or so back for $50!! They make a ton of these things these days, not worth the buy anymore at launch.

      Yeap. It totally depends what collectors edition and who made them. Microsoft/Ubisoft/EA usually make shit tons of them and they go clearance all the time. Only a few proper ones are worth it.

    The RC edition is still $248. I'll wait for that one to go sub $100 thanks! Good deal for a diecast model if you don't already have the game though I suppose.

    The Gears 4 one was originally $300 at launch haha! Clearing out at $68 is a joke, I feel bad for anyone that paid over $200 for this.

        I'm not really a fan of that bike figurine and already own a digital play anywhere copy so I'm not gonna spend another $68. Trade/resell would be droping a fair bit now. Probably $15/30?

        And this one in particular was waaaaaaay overpriced. They don't even give you any extra singleplayer missions or characters like the previous bioware titles.

      not salty, but surprised.
      It seems the bigger CE's lately are not shipping as fast as they used to.

      CE's like Persona 5, Fire emblem and so on seem to be in much higher demand due to the fact they dont take up much space (being a Art book, plush/pins and audio tracks).

      I have the GoW4 CE no regrets as i love the series.

        I think the issue is costs have gone up. I remember when Halo 3's was something like $150 or $199 and at the time that seemed very expensive. We're now getting a whole lot hitting close to the $300 mark, which in the case of the Xbox is more than the console goes for (possibly bundled with the same game too in some cases).

        The upcoming Assassins Creed has a particularly nuts one at over $1k from Ubisoft direct.

        They must make money on it to warrant it, but prices have gone a bit nuts. Can't imagine retailers love it too given these units take up a lot of room. One EB the other day mentioned they'd told someone who had a special order of one of these that they'd give them 2 days to pickup but they otherwise couldn't spare them the room in the store to have the item sitting there waiting for delivery.

    At the end of the day, these CEs with included statues occupy too much floor/store room space which is a valuable commodity in retail.

    Clearing them out to make room for new stock is more cost effective than holding it on the floor and no one buying.

    Good deal if you're into CEs and have lots of room at home.
