      You can't get an equivalent Ultrabook for this price. The best you'll get is maybe an Asus UX from Amazon for about $800-900. The laptops you are referring to are usually clunky beasts that's twice as thick as this with 720p type resolutions.

    They need to stop selling 4GB machines and offer a minimum of 8GB with 256GB SSD. Considering top end phones have more RAM an just as much storage..

        Really wouldnt want non-expandable 4GB RAM. I think that was one of the reasons why I went the Lenovo Yoga instead.

          The Yoga models are more comparable to the Air 13 rather than the Air 12.

          I replaced (I still have it, gathering dust) my Lenovo Flex 14 (which is the US name for a Yoga) with the Air 13 and never looked back.

        Actually… I use a tablet/laptop hybrid at home which has 32-bit Windows 10, running on 2GB or RAM. It's not perfect, but it does the job.

          Depends on what the job is mate, I find low RAM machines (2GB) to struggle to playback decent 1080p movies even

      4GB is ample for most everyday type uses, Chrome with a dozen or more tabs no issue, multiple youtube videos simultaneously running no issue, etc.

      I setup a 10 year old PC for a relative to use for internet, streaming etc. and it worked fine for all of the above and that was without the benefit of an SSD.

      4GB is pushing it for gaming but for not for everyday use.

    I bought something with Chinese Windows.
    I could change it to English, but still some of the Windows messages stay in Chinese.

        Didn't try a factory reset. For the most part it is workable.

        I had a system error message in Chinese, which worried me as I didn't know what it said. Anyway went away after a while, so OK to use!!

      Download fresh Windows in English from the Windows site, reinstall, it should recognise the existing CD key in BIOS and you're fine.

        Problem solved. Might sell my tablet/laptop thing and get this one. Windows 10 on tablets wasn't really working for me anyway.

      I have a dual boot Win/Android Teclast tablet that came with Chinese Windows. To get around your issue I (and XDA forums) changed it from Chinese > Spanish and THEN to English, for some reason that works to make it full English. It's worth a shot if you don't want to reinstall.
