  • Is this good for charging a laptop?

    • +1

don't think so, the capacity is only suit for your phone

    • +7

You can but probably can only charge your laptop 0.5 times. Usually a laptop battery is 50-60 Wh, this power bank is 36 Wh and there is a power loss during conversion and charging.

    • +1

If its a gaming laptop, aiming for at least 80+wh or otherwise it might not even last for one hour. Thin laptop with integrated graphics should be alright.

    • No.

    • It will charge your laptop, it might not fully charge it

  • +2

    Does it have CCC?

The ones sold by MM do, but not sure about this one.

    • +2

No, it doesn't. I bought thinking it's the same but found out the hard way that it's not :-(

      • it looks exactly the same too

  • I believe delivery is a flat $9.90, if not let me know and I'll edit.

  • Yeah this version does not have CCC. New Chinese domestic version have CCC.

  • +3

I just received mine from Xiaomi, can confirm these do not have the CCC logo

  • Do these have pass through charging?

  • +2

Can we all agree to drop mAh and start using Wh as the standard unit of battery capacity? I shouldn't need a calculator and a degree in battery chemistry to figure out how many charges I can get.

    • Unfortunately, we can't. That would restrict the big impressive numbers

  • looks like that cable will brake very quickly .

    • +2

"fast" charging, it needs good brakes.

  • I got one of this, for 10000mAh, it a bit over size, if you want quick charge its good!. The cable is strong but short. I use it to charge my laptop without any problem!!

    • can it power your laptop while on at the same time?

      • yes it can!

        • nice only downside is like carrying a brick

          • @Poor Ass: it is heavy for a 10000mAh battery!

  • -1

I will never understand these kinds of power bank. 10,000mAh and 165w.

    • it's for people who have small laptops and want to carry as little weight as possible. enough to fast charge/top up laptop once otg. then recharge power bank.

Please change your title. The battery is not 10,000mAh. It's 5,900mAh, which is clearly showed in the specification. The 10000 is a model, not the capacity. Xiaomi has always been playing the number game.

    • It's correct, that's just how power banks report their numbers.

The rated capacity is always going to be significantly lower because it's based on output.

      • No, the post's title is incorrect. Nowhere it says 10,000mAh on the product page. The model is called "10000" not "10000mAh)

        • Nowhere it says 10,000mAh on the product page.

It's shown under capacity and when added to cart.

        • The total capacity of the included cells is 10000mAh. That's how all power banks present their numbers, if I didn't put it in the title you wouldn't be able to easily compare it to every other power bank deal posted here.

          • @Hiphopopotamus: That's wrong. The cell's volt is 3.6V, but the output is 5V. If you say it's 10000mAh, it's misleading. It can only recharge a phone for about less than 5000mAh.

            • @Thbloke: You're ignoring the point. Using 10000mAh isn't misleading, it's the standard.

If I wrote 5500mAh @ 5V/4A people not in the know would just be scratching their heads, it would pedantic and pointless.

    • Xiaomi has always been playing the number game.

This actually applies to most/all Power Banks due to capacity conversion loss and circuit loss.

Here's an Anker Article explaining the difference between Nominal and Rated Capacity

    • +2

no that's normal. you aren't going to get 10,000mAh out of any 10,000mAh power bank. rated capacity means what you get out of it on the cable/device end.

some brands don't even show rated capacity which is dodgy. but some do which is called being honest.

fyi normally after heat and cable loss, the average efficiency is 70%. but in this case it's slightly worse because the small powerbank can do 100W USB-C PD out, when the output power is higher it's less efficient. if you only slow charged your phone with it at 30W you will probably get more like 6800mAh~7000mAh out of it.

  • Combining with an automatic soap dispenser to get free shipping. $20 for an automatic soap dispenser seems a good price.

Shame not receiving any $10 coupon for further saving.

  • Charges tablets/phone quick… just a really small size battery.

  • Any PPS? Specifically, PPS up to 20V?

edit: A review claims 5-11V@3A and 5-20V@3A PPS on the integrated cable

All you guys asking about CCC, do you even go to China that often?
