Recently purchased a microSD and have inserted and re-insterted it numerous times into my S8+ but it is not being detected at all.
Anyone have any experience with such an issue?

Dont have any other device to test it with. I have plugged my phone into my laptop and the SD card is not being detected or anything
Hmmm, that would be the first step I would think. Otherwise maybe take to a Samsung store I suppose? Would still be under warranty…

well buy one, $5? or buy another SD card try that.If your phone dont detect it then your pc wont im sure it might be a faulty sd

Could be that you did not insert it correct/fully in the slot. Otherwise either go to a Samsung kiosk and ask them to help and test it for you, or get a card reader and check if the card is faulty.
Dad bought a Galaxy Prime, SD slot didn't work - sent it to Samsung for repair, was back in 2 days. New PCB required. Could just be DOA.

No it's still not detecting it, I'll take it in to be looked at

Have you tested the sd card in another device/reader to ensure its not the card?
