Also depends. Some usb 3.0 drives are really poor at writing speeds so they may as well be performing at usb 2.0 speeds. That being said, in agreeable that it should be at least usb 3.0 to be a bargain.

It will take forever to write to 5x 16GB USB sticks using USB 2.0. Consider the power consumption to have the computer on, isn't it worth to get a decent USB 3.0 drive? Seeing recent deal from eBay selling Sandisk USB 3.0 OTG drive for $9 something including shipping, I see no deal here.
