Attn: Android Root Users! [ Root Checker Pro ] is FREE for 1 day

960

Quick, if you're a root user, grab this. I use it to cross check CTS and SafetyNet checks when I'm building Recovery projects, with Magisk Manager.

It's low profile - no bs type of app (comparing to super booost 2017 clean pro like bbqpizza booster turbo apps), and the free version is near ad free.

edit: there must be some awesome sale happening, mowmo icon packs are free too

    Sounds pretty useless?

      Extremely useless.

Magisk has built in SafetyNet checking and to check for root simply fireup a terminal and ender 'su'.

      • I use it to cross check Magisk for CTS. 13.1 added the CTS profile and an Integrity check, which wasn't available on 12.0

I was making do with their free app 'SafetyNet Checker'

But is now. So again, this is pointless.

    • That's why I never bought it, because I was making do with their free app 'SafetyNet Checker'

  • Install a free app that requires root and see if SuperSU prompts for permission ?

    • no its the middle section of the apps that would be of interest to pokemon players wanting to hack their way to be a pokemon master… sec screenie

      • Lol you've lost me, how is a root checking app meant to do that?

You open up your map spoofing app because clearly you're already rooted the phone then check your actual maps apps to see if it's working ?

no, I didn't even mention root check aside from the title. it's the CTS check that's worth adding if you need to have builds that need to pass the verity and cts checks Google has..

edit: no, pokemon changed so you cant spoof. I don't play it, I just read the fallout at XDA.

This is more useful as a CTS Integrity checker. All Root checkers are useless.. same with busybox checkers. CTS is different. Google has a hash of what your device should be from the manufacturer, if you root, your hash changes. Magisk Manager can change properties that trick the checks so Android Pay will still work, and other banking or higher SELinux apps checks

Think of it more as a way to check if your tools designed to beat Android Security is beating Android Security, on a tampered device.. that Google now can't tell if it's been tampered with

          @NeoBeum:

Magisk has bult in SafetyNet checking. This is pointless.

The 2nd cap is the free version, but ads are removed now with the main app being purchased.

if you don't need to beat Google's security checks, this app will be pointless.

eg- root with Android Pay or similar.

    Get rooted!

  • Downloaded for my rooted oneplus one…no idea what I'll use this for, but I'll ask questions later.

That's a dangerous attitude to have about installing software onto your device. Especially one with root permissions.

      • Ha good call.

It's not my main phone so all good. I actually didn't even directly download it on the phone, just purchased it via pc browser from work.

  • If your phone is rooted then you know it's rooted. Because you did it yourself…

      you're a virus

  • my oneplus one failed to pass the safetynet test, is this the reason i cant play pokemon go on my device?

    • +1

Yes. Have you tried installing and using Magisk?

    • what method did you use to root? i used superSU and that wasnt as good. remove the root and flash magisk, then get magisk manager. my pokemon go works perfectly using this method. if youre using TWRP, it will be a quick fix

      • i was using supersu and i am backing up everything and about to flash the whole system and then install magisk.

      • Hi would you be able to give me some advice? I just installed magisk and still failed the safetynet :( what i did was, installed the latest magisk 13.3 using the latest twrp, and then installed the manager app from google play store, and then installed the xposed within the manager app. what am i missing?

        • Probably a kernel that bypasses SafteyNet.

        • have you tried using the hide feature? you can try core mode only and see if that works. otherwise it would be xposed which is causing the problems, as i have the same set up otherwise

        • @PainToad: I'm using a custom rom and I do remember seeing something about the kernel on the download page, is it easy to fix without flashing again with other rom? I am using my old phone specifically to play poker on go now

        • @qwertyaz:

If you have a sony, the mount order for the filesystem is critical, and having a non modified boot image for Magisk to capture makes everything smoother

  • magisk manager has all of that in built?

  • No Longer free, at least on AU Play Store.
