Just withdrew from ATM in Indonesia, my card got 1AUD = 10,553IDR and my brother's got 1AUD = 10,506IDR (which are significantly different). Took out about the same time from 2 different ATM machines (same bank - BCA).
Anyone ever experienced something similar?
I find if you withdraw from a Citibank ATM it's at spot rate
To calculate Citibank's spot rate, login and find the FX rate of Buy and Sell.
Average them
(Buy + Sell)/2
And that's your rate for citibank ATMs.
If you use a different bank's atm, multiply by 0.99
I find non-citibank atms give spot rate -1% (approximately)
