Is Amazon going to price gouge us just a little less than others?

Is it going to cost us more to shop on Amazon?
Reason Amazon has chosen Australia as one of its first countries to expand to is they know that we are price gouged.

I am an Amazon customer as with the current USA suppliers that want to sell their products World Wide, we benefit as the prices are set to attract customers from countries that are not Price Gouged like us and then AMAZON having the lowest shipping rates out of the USA due to their large Volume.

THE BIG QUESTION

When Amazon Australia opens will we still be able to shop on the International section of Amazon in America. Or like with Netflix and Bose be limited to the Australian operation if so will cost me a lot more money. Amazon would know about the Bose restriction and the Huge Profit they make on every Item Sold in Australia and how Bose guard it. In the USA all their retailers are Authorised sellers and if they sell to Australians on line or through forwarding schemes they lose their Authorization.

I am pissed off that when I started re-fitting my shed for woodwork and buying equipment that I did not think of starting a buying club. A table saw that sells for around $2800 in Australia between $800 & $1000 including shipping but you have to buy more than 1 or 2 .

Small Tables saw that sells at Bunning’s for around $200 (now discontinued ) $35us

Reason Amazon has chosen Australia as one of its first countries to expand to

I don't think you know how many countries Amazon is already in.

  • Didn't Amazon already stop us buying stuff from overseas ages ago? I can barely select anything anymore without it saying "Doesn't ship to your location" or something…

If the item is fulfilled and sold by Amazon, you can generally buy it. If the fulfillment is done by a 3rd party, then no.

How did you decide that "Amazon has chosen Australia as one of its first countries to expand to"

Amazon has separate retail websites for the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Australia, Brazil, Japan, China, India, and Mexico. Amazon also offers international shipping to certain other countries for some of its products.
