Has anyone got their bonus points?

Ive been on the phone multiple times and in the end got very angry because the last call they put me on hold for 30 mins

after, originally receiving, 2 cut and paste replies saying "oh your bonus points have been credited, please check"

excuses ranged from
- youve called the wrong department
- we've never heard of this promtion
- please send us the terms and conditons
- send us a screenshot
- send us another email
- we cant find that promo
- that link doesnt exist anymore
- which domain did you go through
- weve made a note on your account, we cant do anything more, someone will call you within 5 business days (no reply after 10)

  • I've still got the email that confirmed my enrolment, but the link to the webpage no longer works. Good thinking on QF's part, no-one can check now!

    Gotta love QF. Since the leprechaun took over, he abolished all notions of customer service.

  • I havnt got them but I'm just gonna wait til 10 weeks after the 13 July like the terms and conditions say and consider my options then if they havnt showed up. Like early November

      I thought I read that it would be credited by 13 th July.

      I'm expecting to get double points from the wants epicure wines which had their own bonus of 5000 pts per case purchase

      from the Tand Cs, which are damn confusing as to whether its 40 days or ten weeks or by july 13


      To take advantage of this offer, you must register and make an eligible purchase or booking between 30 March and 13 June 2017 and have points credited into your Qantas Frequent Flyer account by 13 July 2017. Qantas Points are taken to be credited on the date they appear in the Qantas Frequent Flyer Activity Statement which can be checked online at http://www.qantas.com/youraccount. It can take up to 40 days after making an eligible purchase for points to be credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer account. Accordingly, eligible purchases made after 3 June 2017 may or may not be credited by 13 July 2017.

      Eligible purchases exclude all flight bookings, points won through any Qantas competitions and any points transferred from a rewards program or Family Transfer. A maximum of 5,000 bonus Qantas Points will be awarded per member per month between 30 March 2017 and 13 July 2017, up to a total of 15,000 bonus Qantas Points. Month 1: 30 March - 30 April 2017; Month 2: 1 May - 31 May 2017; and Month 3: 1 June - 13 July 2017.         I take it to mean that purchases that may earn you Qantas points can take up to 40 days to hit your account, and therefore even though you may make a purchase if it doesn't hit your QFF account by 13 July you don't get bonus points for that purchase. So I believe its up to 10 weeks to get the bonus points - but I hope it doesn't take this long.

  • Nope. Haven't got em. I was gonna try to follow up on this as well… Most of my points came from credit card earns. I think they should count?

    • I'm guessing credit card purchases that are part of a rewards scheme such as Woolworths Rewards, FF Platinum cards etc, are not eligible. Shame, 'cos that would boost my points total, as I put everything on card.

        5 Woolworths Rewards: To earn double Qantas Points with Woolworths, you must be a member of Woolworths Rewards, link your Qantas Frequent Flyer number to your Woolworths Rewards account, opt-in to convert your Woolworths Dollars to Qantas Points and earn 2,000 Woolworths Points by 9pm 13 June 2017. Every 2,000 Woolworths Points earned will be converted to 10 Woolworths Dollars which will then be converted to 870 Qantas Points. The next conversion by Woolworths will occur on 15 June 2017, to be part of this conversion, you need to select Qantas Points as your reward option by 9pm 13 June 2017.         • I got my Woolworths QFF points on 15 June. I converted 4000 and got 3480 which was double. So all good there.

          We already know that the promotion does not cover the Woolies conversions as it is a rewards program.

          Where I am confused is with my Woolworths QFF Visa Card and my ANZ Amex/Visa card, both direct earn cards,where the points for spending are transferred at the end of each billing period. Is QF going to give us double points for everything we bought on those cards during the 3 month promotion period, IN ADDITION to the points we already got? Are these cards actually rewards programs, and therefore ineligible??

          e.g., if I spent say $5000 dollars on my two cards over the 3 month period on "eligible purchases", and already have been credited with 5000 points on my QFF account, is QF now going to give me another 10,000 points for that spend? I certainly haven't received any extra points from say the April period spending which is more than 40 days ago.

          The promotion page has now been taken down, so no way to go back and try and interpret the rules for this. I guess it is just wait and see. But I am not holding my breath.

  • No I got jack. No double points for my credit card earn, insurance, qantas/ kogan purchases, secure parking. Nothing. And I'm pretty sure I applied on the site and was approved. Even received the email. Can't be bothered chasing up since the credit card earn is apparenlty not eligible. And all the other purchases total only about 300 points.

  • Just logged a service request and see what kind of excuse they'll come up with. Chasing 5k points so it's not substantial but not exactly a pittance either.

    • I logged a service request twice with then and got a cut and paste reply saying "your bonus points have been apply. Go here to check it"
      I did receive bonus points for shop at qantas epicure.

      I replied back to them with the t and c and links but got no reply.
      I then lodged another request and to the exact same reply.

      I then called and got the "we have no idea what you are talking about. Let me log that for you "

      For me it's 15k points. So it's well worth it for me to chase

      But it's so frustrating

    I'm actually going to wit for a few weeks. The t and cs are confusing as hell as to how long it will take.

    • I've already sent them the T&C with the original email, now they're asking for the promo email and the registration confirmation email. Only got the registration confirmation one, sent that screenshot to them and see what happens next. It's probably a targeted promo if they're asking for the initial email, I think I did receive it but turfed it soon after.

    Did you guys also get in on the 50% more status credits? I'm upset I missed the recent deal to get 50% more status credits… if you are with qantas business rewards (it's free to get an ABN and signup).

    I generally agree with the sentiment with customer service being not what it is but maybe I just expect too much.

  • Something happened overnight. Some weird bank autosweep ones got counted and credited as the double points promo but still missing the Epiqure one. I want my 5k damnit.

    • I got mine as well. Ended up with another 7,800 points. Very happy with that. After assuming cc transfers wouldn't count, it looks like they did.

      No complaints from me. I'll take any QFF points I can get.

  • Yep got mine overnight. Had forgotten about the promotion and not sure what I bought to earn them!

  • I got a varied amount too. Not sure how it totals up but can't complain about this freebie :)
