I'm new to wearable fitness trackers- the Fitbit charge 2 was the best device for my needs based on reviews etc.
Flex2- does not have display/ heart rate monitor
Alta2- more comfortable than charge 2, but does not have same fitness features. 'Lower' model but same price as Charge 2.
Surge/Blaze- too big to wear while sleeping, higher price.

  You chose well; the Blaze is rubbish and unless you have an iPhone then most of it's advanced features won't work.
