  • I bought this fridge August 2015 through TGG Ebay 20% deal, it worked out to be $1095.74 delivered.

At $900.44 delivered, great fridge and price.

  • This is currently #1 rated fridge by Choice.com.au

I looked at this one last week. Top rated by Choice, but marked down by other sites for lack of adjustability with the shelf spacing. Whether this matters will depend on what things you want to store in your fridge.
After checking out the top 4 ranked fridges by Choice at a local store, I ended up going with the Whirlpool as best suited for my family's needs after trading off efficiency slightly (from memory, the others were this LG, a Fisher & Paykel and a Samsung). If you're thinking of buying a fridge, its worth having a look at them in person. All of the major brands seem to have $100 cash back offers on fridges in this size at the moment. I found it unfortunate that they all had pluses and minuses and none seemed to be able to get the best features without having some other aspect that was an unnecessary drawback.

      • Thanks was going to buy this but didnt realise about shelf adjustibility.

      • mind to list out the full model number?

        thnx

I bought the Westinghouse WBE4500SAR (the WBE4500WAR is the same in white).

The other models that I looked at were the Lg mentioned by the OP, F&P RF422BRPW6 and Samsung SRL455DLS. They all had design niggles for how we use our fridge. These may be more/less relevant for others, which is why I recommend going into a store and comparing them. When we did, it only took ten minutes for my wife and I to drop the other 3 off our shortlist. Look out for shelf spacing in thw main fridge, freezer and fridge door. Some models had a shelf that slides in to give more room, but which we thought could be easily knocked in by young children, causing objects on the shelf to fall out as it slid in.

We didn't look at the freezer at the top models that Choice also rated highly and excluded fridges that were too wide/narrow for our 'gap'.

One surprise for me was the big difference between the Samsung models in the Choice reviews with the SRL458 being rated significantly lower than the SRL455 even though the 458 is more expensive.

Cashback will take 10 weeks to be received please be aware, promotional claims are done by a third party.

  • Thanks OP, I've been waiting for a deal on this one. Now to figure out how to pick it up.

    • Hire a ute from Bunnings for a few hours…

  • Darnit; the cashback may not apply. From the T&Cs the definition of the term 'purchase' "Purchase does not include: … (iv) purchases via eBay or other online bidding or auction;"

All the times I have bought from The Good Guys eBay store, I have always got a proper TGG invoice not mentioning anywhere that it was an eBay sale. Relax, you will get the cashback.

My experience is the same as Cool's. I've always received a normal TGG invoice not mentioning eBay.

Resend the correct invoice with claim ID to [email protected] and ill correct it

        • Thanks, just sent the email

        • @eruption:

Changed your invoice, they just need the serial number once you take delivery, just reply to the email with the S/N found inside the fridge on the right.
