I've got two of these from the last two times it was $3

They work great and are quick and easy enough to take off when necessary

  • Good price.

  • With no credit the below post?

    Look, it’s a hand Joby!

  • Need a DSLR deal to go with this :)

  • Is it too big for a small mirrorless camera?

    • It connect to the DSLR hole so might not suitable if your camera does not have one.

Same, got excited over the price and free shipping!
It's like Christmas in July (but in August).

  • Thanks Op purchased one for my Nikon DSLR.

Thanks OP, purchased two - just need to work out how to attach them to the bed head

    • Not sure how you can drop a bed head, I have to drag mine when I bring it with me. Haven't figured out how it takes photos yet either.

      • qiqi, I think you've missed the subtext to dm01's comment!

      • Haven't figured out how it takes photos yet either.

You get in bed naked, then when someone suddenly pulls the covers off, bam! You have a flash exposure!

  • Wow, bargain. I bought a grey one from Amazon years ago and love it.

Got one last time for my Olympus em10 ii, works well.

  • Excellent - grabbed one for each dSLR - thanks OP!

  • For $3 it's worth a try. Thanks OP!

  • Strikes me as odd it has a joint in it at the heirght of the loop… why could that not be one piece.

  • Thanks!
Got one for each camera I have. Just wish it was black or orange to match the Sony Alpha colour

    • There is a charcoal version, but more expensive, $15

      • yeah I saw that. But ill just deal with colour for $3. Maybe die it in black?

  • Thanks OP, bought 3: DSLR, PSP, etc.

    • Only works with the DSLR as it's not a small loop and won't fit on compacts/phones. It's made for the bigger loops on DSLRs.

      • PSP is not a phone.

  • So the thing with a neck strap or an R-strap is that you can let go of the DSLR and it will hang securely around your neck or by your side, leaving your hands free. Attaching the camera to your wrist doesn't free up your hand. You can use the neck strap and making it wrap around your wrist a few times - not as nice and still has a chance of letting go if you don't do it right but then you can put the camera around your neck just by unwrapping it from your wrist.

Those of you looking for a wrist strap for a PSP or phone or smaller camera should consider a Nintendo Wii controller wrist strap. Get one that actually has a slider with a clip (later straps) or buy a cheap clone on Ebay. The only thing to watch for is that the clip doesn't scratch or damage your screen.

    • I'm not a big fan of neck straps but I love the 2-anchor-point padded wrist straps like thisfor my DSLR
I use the strap only for safety reasons, no need to free up my hand :)

  • Does anyone actually use this for their DSLR? Don't really see how appropriate it is considering the bulk and weight of DSLRS.

I use it on my Nikon D610 + 24-120 F4 Lens, and it works fine. I feel very safe with it.

Sony mirrorless are very light I carry it in my hands and never used a neck strap. This should give the safety in case it gets bumped and accidentally dropped.

I recently used this with a D610 and Tamron 70-200mm G2 at an event and it worked fine. This strap replaces my blackrapid strap 95% of the time as I can start shooting quicker.

I use a wrist strap (crumpler one) on my 5D MkII and love it - when I carry the camera around, I can just hold it on the grip with three fingers. Love it much more than a neck strap. Especially when I shoot weddings and other events for a long stretch of time.

  • Thanks OP, bought one!

  • Thanks OP. Just bought a couple. One for my dslr and one as a spare. To carry the camera around the house for kid pictures, this one would be better than my rapid strap.

Thanks OP. I bought the alternative Joby 3 way strap for the same price.

  • HARVEY NORMAN just cancelled my order NO STOCK

  • My order cancelled too. I ordered on 1/8/17 soon after deal was posted.

    • Same here, order cancelled - no stock. Ordered as soon as deal was posted on 01/08/17 7.48pm..

    • Mine too. Oh well, a bit of an impulse buy on my part, but still it's annoying that their online store apparently sold things they didn't have.

  • Edit: wrong post

  • +1

Order cancelled, it has happened too many times with HN.

  • Yep, add me to the list of cancelled orders - just received the email.

  • I ordered 3 in different orders. One got cancelled already.

  • Same ✉️

  • Got 2 refunds out of 3 purchase.

  • My two joby wrist straps (green), which I ordered on the first day this was posted were just cancelled.

Weird that the 3-way strap that sold out initially, and then went back in stock for a very brief period on day two, shipped and already arrived today!

  • My green Jobby wrist strap arrived today and it is spider-web infested!
The other strap got cancelled and I got a refund

    • Nuke that from outer space imo.
