        Maybe the fluorescent lighting uses electricity but you need gas to boil water.

    You have to type your local postcode to find out.
    Or just give a ring to your store, they will tell you which store still has it.

  I have started having trouble with the Aldi kettle after 1 year.
  The temperature sensor appears to not connect correctly and I have seen it randomly jumping between readings.
  It starts boiling and does not stop unless you disconnect it.
  The kettle will more frequently just not start.

    Turns out the Aldi kettle I bought was a recalled product.
    I took it back yesterday as I noticed rust on the inside base where the heating element is.
    It was the Ambiano Model: JK-108E
    If you have this kettle, I suggest taking it back to Aldi and getting your money back.
    They said the glass tends to crack as well.
