  • How does these compare to the Aldi one that sell at the same price?

  • Is this an electric one?

    • Yes.

    • Are you asking about the kettle with flourescent lighting or the pressure cooker with a LCD display? 😝

      • :) no, my question is just is it boiling water using electric? Or I need to have a gas cooker to heat it.

        • +2

It is boiling water using electric only.

          @save50: thanks

        • +3

Maybe the fluorescent lighting uses electricity but you need gas to boil water.

        • @Averell:

          You are welcome.

        • @m9:
Ur not being serious are you?

        • @m9: AC or DC?

        • @hashtagbargain:

          AC/DC? Anything Goes.

When a manufacturer writes "professional" on the product, that is your assurance you are getting a truly professional item.

    • +2

Of course. It's hard to go back to regular variants afterwards.

      • But how do you know you're getting the regular product if they don't put regular in the name?

        • +2

a notable lack of Deluxe and Premium is usually a dead giveaway

  • imk is spotlight homebrand ?

    • Guess so.

  • anyway for checking local store stock online?

    • You have to type your local postcode to find out.
Or just give a ring to your store, they will tell you which store still has it.

  • I have started having trouble with the Aldi kettle after 1 year.
The temperature sensor appears to not connect correctly and I have seen it randomly jumping between readings.
It starts boiling and does not stop unless you disconnect it.
The kettle will more frequently just not start.

    • Turns out the Aldi kettle I bought was a recalled product.
I took it back yesterday as I noticed rust on the inside base where the heating element is.
It was the Ambiano Model: JK-108E
If you have this kettle, I suggest taking it back to Aldi and getting your money back.
They said the glass tends to crack as well.

  • Picked up the Glass Kettle, the last piece at my local store:) Looks Neat!
    Thanks Op!
