hmm whats the cheapest thing i can buy?

  • +7

does this mean i can buy another $49 1TB each being the other purchase for the drive, or would i be getting into a never ending loop of having to purchase an additional hard drive?

  • Anybody tried how much is the shipping (to QLD)?

The cheapest is probably a DVD Media Disk

    http://www.netplus.com.au/product/MD23/MDDVD%2BR-DL-RIDA/Wri…

    • It's $19 if you're outside of WA (it's also listed in the post)
And although that's the cheapest item there is, there's no stock in atm. Refer to my reply above that's the cheapest item in stock but there's less than 10 of em.
For something with more than 20 in stock would be the SATA cable at $5

  • +3

If only it wasn't for the $19 postage aus wide…..

    Beat you both: http://www.netplus.com.au/product/MD23/MDPALAPH6X4-20/Media/20-Pack-6X4-Photo-Paper-Glossy-170GSM---Laser-Brand-Premium-Pick-Up-Only! - Just don't bother 2 pickup :-p

    • For those who are actually planning on getting the thing shipped, by adding that item it might make the whole order pick up only.

      • As said below… their checkout system sucks. I was allowed delivery :-P

  • And good to see that WA is getting some great computer deals. Keep it up NetPlus!

  • Good Deal only if you can pickup

  • +3

$75 with delivery to brissy. Pickup from umart for $70… no go for me. Also their checkout system sucks.

    • Yeah - we are in the same boat mate - I'm also in Brisbane

      • +8

        Time to move? :)

        • +5

it's gonna take more than just a few cheap computer parts to get people to move to perth :P

          • +6

@Trance N Dance: Especially if you consider how bad their footy teams are…

        • +4

Was that time to move to a better system so check-outs are better NetPlus?

          • +4

@skinny: Actually, as a brick & mortar shop, we are quite happy to have real people who can think and process orders accordingly. Most of the fancy automated sites are overseas employing overseas web designers. Show me a computer store in Australia with a far superior website?

            • +1

@StopSpending: Haven't used the checkout, but can I just say it seems to be quite a nice site.

The #1 feature that it's missing though is the option to sort. By price, name, etc. Would make it a lot easier to use.

            • +5

              @StopSpending: MSY for sure!

              • +1

@Save Medicare: MSY wins the interwebs!

                • +1

@Koonit: No way, Fluidtek! The bottom 3/4 of the page isn't even updated! Now that's superior!

          • +1

@skinny: I have used their checkout many times and do not see what is wrong with it.

        • How about opening a new branch in Brissy?

Or at least a fish and chip shop that will serve free meals to the Broncos and Lions fans @ matchday :-)

  • It's showing $67 for me. Not $49

    • +2

You need to use Promocode: OZBARGAIN

      • Yep that's probably why it's listed under promocode. Cheers rep

  • If I buy a HD case with this, will I be charged separate shipping cost for the case?

    • +1

No. Shipping is fixed for whatever you buy. You could buy a whole system and add this hard drive to have it all shipped at the one price.

  • NetPlus, can you do a promo on the Seagate 500GB Hybrid? It's $160 on Umart. I'm looking at getting that together with this deal.

    • Sorry, $169 is the best on the 500Gb Seagate Momentus XT at the moment.

  • how long does this deal last?

    • There is no definate time - but it is limited. Will end without notice, so get in quick.

  • +1

i dont understand how shipping is $19 aust wide. express post satchels up to 3kgs cost $12.70 and can be used for any desitination in australia.

    • handling fee?

      • .

    • registered post?

    • +1

Then it takes time and materials to pack the items up so this will be included in the postage fee.

And then the $19 fee is flat, no matter what you order.

Try and send multiple hard drives or a keyboard or a monitor or a PC case or any of that combination with Australia post express parcels. For starters it will not fit in a 3kg bag and secondly they will want more than $19 for express post
The Australia post express parcels service is much more expensive than using a satchel. The last item i sent to someone was going to be about $30 if I sent it as an express parcel, luckily i was able to make it fit in a satchel.

Netplus also uses eParcel which is tracked and registered.

  • Ordered one and the checkout was easy.

  • Too small for me, don't mind double the price to get 2tb

    • +1

A $98 WD 2tb you reckon? Let us all know when you trap that beastie mate! ;)

You reckon they've got some at Centrecom? :p

  • Amazing price! Thanks Netplus :)

luckily i live in perth metro :D

if anyone else lives around me, and is interested, works out to be:
delivered: $61.40 with insurance (+ credit surcharges)
    pickup price: $52.40

when buying the cheapest item; 8.5Gb DVD-R Dual Layer Media ($3.40).

Credit card surcharge 2.3%: ($1.38) or; PayPal surcharge 2.4%: ($1.44) or; Direct Deposit, Bank Cheque, Money Order: ($0.00)
Delivery: Perth Metro ($5.00) or; Pickup ($0.00)
Delivery Insurance 5%: ($2.62) or; No insurance ($0.00)

hey netplus do you guys have clearance bins in store? maybe i can get something cheaper than $3.40 :->

  • Took time off work to go and pick one up from Myaree this AM. despite the website saying 20+, they actually dont have any. Should be in stock tomorrow apparently.

  • Add a SATA data cable + postage and this is still just over $75 shipped. Good deal for those not in a capital city.

  • Actually just noticed from their facebook page that they have a thumbdrive promotion running as well.

    4GB Kingston DataTraveller for $2 - Coupon code: FACEBOOK1

As coupons can only be entered once per order, not really worth it if you live in eastern states for the extra shipping. But for those in Perth who are going to be picking up their HDD, might as well get the thumbdrive as well. :)
