There's no reviews and it's unbranded so couldn't find anything about the image quality and such. I wouldn't expect too much of it, likely to be fake 60 fps but at that price tag there's not much risk :) and it's probably good enough to experiment or have your kids play with it.
Comes with various accessories (housing and mounts), English manual and battery. Needs to buy a memory card separately.

My phone has 13mp, is there any way this will have any more features than my phone?

    • +2

Fisheye and accessories? Not really the same use case anyway, so maybe less remorse should you break it while using it as an "action" cam ¯_(ツ)_/¯

    • Megapixels ain't everything. The sensor could be garbage so you just get a low quality image with more pixels in the low quality mess.
I'd wager a decent smart phone will have a better sensor than a $20 chinese action camera.

  • where do you put the coupon?

    • In the order summary on the checkout page: "View cart and checkout" > "Have a Promotion Code?"

  • nvm found it haha
    thanks op

It does motion detected loop recording…. Might see how it goes on the bike as a dashcam. Don't care if it gets stolen.
If that doesn't work out i might strap it to the dogs collar and see what he gets up to for a day :)

  • Code seems to work on other colours too

  • AU $20.18 on my Zero Mastercard, and possibly $1.77 cashback.

So cheap. Now I just need to come up with something to do with it.

yes, don't we all, on everything that's ever been posted on this site

Looks like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV_cx2UwwM8 if anyone's looking for review.

Nope nothing like that one. Different brand/model, power button in different location, printed text is different

  • How long will a 900mAh battery last?

    • 2 weeks

      • Video recording time is what I'm after?

This looks like the action camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMMsF5y_I14 - not good

And in the latest instalment of "it looks like this camera", it looks like this Q5 Action Camera:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz5mllHYQG4#t=10m40s

Seems very similar in appearance and specs, but without night vision.

    • Finally that actually looks quite similar!

      Video quality looks decent too

  • Got one for my cat, thanks OP

I've wanted one of these for a while, it seems a good price.

I changed the shipping from super saver to standard, it's faster by a few days, still free, and has a tracking number

  • Purchased two of theses, worth the gamble for what is essentially a 2x 6 packs of beer!

Unfortunately got some email this morning saying the first order hasn't processed due to a payment
issue, I used Paypal and it's already been processed from the associated card I used.. so no idea
what they're on about. It does say something about popular stock items running out, but it's still on sale
right now (although said 19 hours till sale ends yesterday, and today the clock is still counting back from 19 hours haha!)

Sent TomTop a support email but wont hold my breath it gets answered. I have purchased from them
before and was surprised what I purchased arrived within 15 days… I remember that time I don't think I even
got a confirmation email it was processed/purchased. I'll sit this one out for a bit and if need be chase it up
    with PayPal.

    • Mine is stuck in processing status.

      • Yeah… Both my orders still in processing. But both have already been fully processed via PayPal and the money is gone from account, statement shows the trans also.

  • Mine is still processing as well. I hope they don't run out, I already bought 2 spare batteries from AE for ~$7
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2pcs-set-Battery-for-SJCAM-S…

  • Anyone's order get out of processing yet? what's going on

  • +1

I just got notification mine had shipped, and a China EMS tracking number. Hopefully that turns out to be the case.

    • When did you order it and did you pay extra for shipping?

      • 9th August via standard shipping. I did send them a support request today asking where it was, maybe that's what triggered it :-).

        • Thanks mate. I emailed them too then they sent me a tracking number. Hopefully it's actually being shipped

  • Even though I originally got an email regarding one of my purchases not being processed, I have now received two tracking numbers.

I did email TomTop support and was surprised they responded in 24 hours!

  • Just checked the tracking number and looks like mine is in the country. Anyone received one yet and have any feedback?

  • mine has come today i dont see 720p 60fps option on the setting anyone know there is one at all?

    • Do you think it's a legit 1080p cam or just some dodgy interpolated crap?

Hopefully mine will arrive next week and I'll see if I can figure out the settings

  • Received mine 2 days ago and only just gave it a quick test with all settings on highest possible quality and i must say it's not great, although videos are 1080p they don't look it, not very sharp at all, i would say there is some sort of interpolation going on. Still pictures at highest 12MP setting are pathetic, when viewed at native size they look totally pixelated, very low res, they look approx 1.3MP not 12MP to me. Have not tested low light but i expect it to be crap. Haven't tested WiFi feature because my WiFi password is too long for cam's 10 character max input field! Overall pretty disappointed with this cam but didn't expect the world for what it cost

    • Then Wifi is for device to device connection I thought..

So you can connect to app from phone, much like the GoPro does.

The Cam already has an SSID so it appears to have it's own AdHoc
      setup unless you rename it!

  • Received mine today but sadly the battery is DOA. Only works when plugged into usb.

After charging the red charge light turns off, but when I try to power it on the blue light just blinks and it doesn't turn on.

Tried holding down the power button for 3-4 seconds?

      • Ok that worked. Thanks!

        Boy do I feel stupid…

  • Mine arrived yesterday, it sort of works but the video is hilariously broken:

    http://imgur.com/a/O6XFi

Edit: Okay that was actually just quicktime's fault. It plays fine in VLC: https://vid.me/FXYyO . About as low quality as I expected.

  • Got mine, I have yet to sample the video on an external device.

Everyone remove the lens coating? Quality on the rear screen appears clear
unlike the video sample above. I'll have a look tonight.. I didn't expect much either.

The QR code on the box for the "Camera app" appears to be some dodgy china online shopping link.

  • The OK button on mine broke the second time I used it

I tested my cam yesterday. I filmed in 1280x720 30fps.
The cam was mounted to my bike helmet, held down by a Velcro strap. It came loose so the camera rocks a bit but I will fix that with some double sided tape.
The camera was tilted too low so the video is not good to watch, but I think the quality is OK for a cheap camera.
I recorded a 20 minute ride and the camera made a 1.5GB file and a 500MB file so video editing software will be needed to stitch together files on longer movies.
The camera was in it's waterproof housing so the only noise you can hear is rain hitting the case and the camera rocking on my helmet.
    Here is my demo. https://youtu.be/PB6s6DrEB34
E: I grabbed a bad sample, there are a lot of rain drops on the lens cover. When I was going faster, the picture was a lot clearer with less raindrops on the lens. Generally, in 1280x720 the picture was good.
