  • Are these petrol trimmers any better than the electric ones?

  • The ozito edger had also dropped from $198 to $148

Keep in mind a petrol hedge trimmer is fairly heavy ,ok for a short time but if you have a lot of hedges or they are shoulder height I recommend a Ryobi cordless 18v+one .They are around $230 with battery and charger but a lot lighter and now have a 6 year warranty and 3 year battery warranty. And if you buy other 18v +one products you already have the battery and charger.

    • This may help.
3 reviews for this hedge trimmer, bad!!
There are also 23 reviews near the bottom of the page for Aldi's trimmer.
      Also bad.

I have had my Homelite line trimmer for 5 years, hasn't missed a beat. Bargain for under $100.

A tip I was given was to replace the head straight away with a Ryobi (from memory) one as replacing line was as easy as feeding a new piece straight through both holes, replacing the lid and winding the bottom bit. The head that came stock with mine was a PITA to replace line on.
