  • not bad,
too bad i dont use home phone hence had mine budled with my $19 mobile cap plan.
when i signed up they had 2 months free access on mobile.
also manage to get most of the fees wavied so only paid $30 for interenet connection.

currently paying $49.95 for the same internet deal above and $19 mobile cap.
cheaper still if you sell the mobile, could've sold mine for $200 but decided to play
    with it instead!

much better for those of us who don't use home phone,

optus are always happy to deal. so i think you'll get more if you call them.

  • mmmm i'm on the broadband plan ($50) + $30 line rental
I wonder if I can get this price but without the contract…..

    • I am same as you. Deal sound good but I do not want to go on a 24month contract.

  • Cant find it on the website…please upload a better (larger) scan of the flyer.

  • With 45c + 40c / 30sec mobile and std once you start using your phone, i dont think it is a good price anymore

    • maybe good for those who use voip as their primary calling facility, eg add $19 for monthly Pennytel and you've got a decent package for $83/mth

Also, i think this is supposed to be similar with the Optus Broadband + Homephone bundle 120GB. If i am reading it correctly, this supposed to be priced at $79.95 ($49.95 + $29.90) but with $50 credit.

So basically, you are paying $64.94 but get only $30. I believe the $79.95 bundle is a better value ($5 better).

However, just warning you guys, i was on this plan and making quite a bit of call, (40 local calls, 5-10 STD and some 20 mobile calls) a month and the bill comes at $150/month (one times on emergency month, i use it quite a bit and it comes at $230/month)

I am now with other provider with free local and std call and cheaper mobile rate and the bill comes at $100-120 a month.

but if you are not using more $ 30 worth of calls its $ 15 dollars better than $ 79.95

        • if you are not making that much of calls, than you should be looking for naked DSL if you can. as $30 bucks only give you around 1 x 35 minutes mobile call

  • If you buy online do you think we can save on the delivery and connection fees?

    • I dont think so . It is not on their website . Brochure says contact store not even a number to call.

  • Though I posted this I signed up with TPG last week for $49 100GB(30GB Peak) with line Rental but no local calls. I think this is a better deal also TPG off-peak only between 12-9am

Maybe post a smaller jpg ??? Saves on bandwidth…

  • Hurry, Quick, Offer ends DEC 18 :-) [From the flyer]

  • I am on Optus 50/70 plan $50 + $20 line rental = $70! This plan have a saving for 5 bucks plus $30 free call! Do outgoing call via Mynetfone! Anyone try to "upgrade" to this plan over the phone?

    • There's 20$ line rental? The cust rep I spoke to said the cheapest phone plan to get was 30$ so I'm paying $30 + $50.

  • Wow, this is the first deal that genuinely beats my Exetel one.

Currently pay $68/m for 30GB on peak and 'unlimited' off peak. I use about 50GB combined a month. Currently my $68 includes ADSL2+, line rental and a $3 'admin fee'. On Optus infrastructure.

Here, I would get the above for $64.94/m but with $30 of calls. Even if those calls would only come to about $10 on VoIP it's still a very good deal.

However with the NBN rolling around eventually I think a lot of ISPs are trying hard to lock you into contracts for as long as possible. Though I've been with Exe for nearly 4 years I wouldn't sign to anyone for 24 months!

  • Is this deal valid only if you can get access to an Optus DSLAM, or does it include Telstra Wholesale ports?
