  • haha i just bookmarked this i am just waiting to see if they jack the price.

    • Most likely would go "out of stock"

Why is it cheaper on their website? $289. nice markup

If it runs out of stock, you can import from Amazon for roughly $266.20 Aussie dollars. You can also buy the Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 mobo for $125 AUD too, while it retails for $160 AUD in australia.

    • Does Amd offer global warranty?

      • Intel does. AMD does not.

That said, CPU failures are extremely rare. I've never heard of anyone with a faulty CPU (unless you did something silly, like bend a bin during installation or, overvolting it till it fries, but this is user error and isn't covered by warranty anyway)

        • Not that they can prove you over-volted?

  • Will this make much difference as a replacement for Intel Core i5 (4th Gen) 4440 / 3.1 GHz

    Thanks

    • Gaming use no, productivity use yes.

      • Video editing?

        • Huge difference.

        • Thanks

@beerbudget: more cores = more time for chores

        • yup, been beaten to the point but big difference.

    • One more question, would this be a better upgrade than going to SSD from HDD?

      • No, SSD would be a much better upgrade in terms of system snappiness. If you know you need the CPU power for some tasks, like video editing/rendering, then maayyybe, but 99% of the time no, when coming from your current CPU.

        • Fantastic, thanks. Cheaper too.
