Oh this ones is goodness too. 1060 6gb good enough 1080i 60hz + internet game championship winner using this ones

  • Got this but the 3gb oc version, works great low noise and is enough for games

  • Is this worth $65 over the 1060 3gb for $295 atm?

check some reviews… the extra RAM does certainly help out with high resolutions and high levels of anisotrophic (sp?) filtering etc. also from memory the 6GB RAM is faster than the 3GB RAM.

I bought my 6GB 1060 early when they were released for less than what they are selling for now though.. and that was from local AU sellers, not imported from Amazon USA.

    • Some games eat ram up, like GTA V on higher settings. Games being released over the next few years will be more than happy with that extra ram.

    • +2

Absolutely, with the 1060 3gb vs 6gb it's not just ram as they make it out.

The 1060 6gb is significantly faster and many reviewers called the 3gb version the 1050 (or they said it should have been a different model name)

    • +2

The biggest difference is the core count. The 6GB has 1280 cores vs the 3GB having 1152 cores. Since the 1060 is a 1080p beast, the RAM difference isn't so important (unless you're into very high resolution textures in moddable/supported games aka high res textures mod in Fallout 4 for example). If you're going 1440p or 4k or high FPS gaming then maybe the stretch to the 1070 maybe better.

Since this generation of 16nm finfet, with such high core clocks, the 10% extra cores does give 10%~ extra performance. Given you may be overclocking as well, the gap can widen a bit more.

The price delta however is 20%, so its up to you if its worth it.

When will price be normal again? Seems no dropping even after VEGA is released.

    • -2

Vega shit miner no good too mush power. So GPU still expense old one. Not very good internet moneys a no

      • Not everyone is into mining, just want a decent gaming card. Too bad 1060 just falls in my budget range (when it is normal). When will the miners go away? Or at least look at somewhere else?

  • Do you guys rate this card over the asus?

      Same shiit diff smell.

(same chipset and ram, diff brand, diff support, diff freebies etc)

  • Thanks OP! Been looking for one of these sub $400 (inc postage) for a week now. Think I'll bite the bullet.

  • Anyway I bought this. Great price.
