    What does your site do?

    • I will take it that upvotes on this post, or the above, indicate that you don't really understand what the website does. Please upvote either comment if you want to offer that as feedback. Thanks! It would be even better if you could elaborate a little more to explain what you think we do (so that I can better understand what our information implies)

Not sure how your reviews work, but Aussie Farmers Direct has over 25000 reviews and Coles, Woolies, Hellofresh have 0. Something doesn't add up there.
Also, why do I see sponsored results for ready-to-eat meals in the "I am ready to cook" section?

    • Thanks djsweet! That review issue is a recent bug we are fixing. We do actually have a lot of reviews for hellofresh etc. See: https://comparemeals.com.au/supplier/hellofresh/reviews. We currently aggregate reviews from other sources. Soon it will be possible to write reviews on the website.

    • "why do I see sponsored results for ready-to-eat meals in the "I am ready to cook" section?" I see what you mean - something is broken there too. Will fix. Thanks again

    Broken.

    • Where is it broken, aside from the bugs mentioned above?

    • It would be really helpful to hear details and we would really appreciate the feedback

    1) unclear prices
Well you only list items sold be preprepared meals from meal prep companies. There is usually a minimum spend with these companies until you get delivery. You list single unit prices for these meals, when often or not most consumers would have to buy batches to get the single unit prices. This needs to be more obvious

    2) frozen meals listed under preprepared search
A consumer would assume that all meals would be fresh. So it was weird for me to see frozen meals on the site

    • Thanks, Bargainswarrior03, it is helpful to know that :) In response to your comments:

1 - This is definitely a point of confusion, thanks for mentioning it. As we mention in our FAQ, at present "Average meal cost is calculated by examining the average cost that a meal delivery service charges for the full meals it sells, for example, dinners, breakfasts and meal replacement drinks" We would like the average meal price information to be more useful. Do you have any idea how we could do that?

There is a lot of variation across the companies we list. Some have minimum orders but others don't (it is maybe 70/30). For some companies, the meal pricing changes based on order total while for others it is consistent no matter what the order size is.

2 - This is useful to know, but I am not sure what we can do. A lot of services we list sell frozen prepared meals and argue that it is better to that than deliver fresh (and there is some evidence for that). Can you think of a way that we could better present the information, or explain it?

Interesting site. Do you get many people coming to the website?

I found that if you go put in your postcode and then click through the options (vegetarian or vegan) it shows that it will give you 7 or 8 options but then a whole list of results show up and not all of them are vegetarian and/or vegan. I think there's a problem with that.

I like the search results page with all the food photos but (1) the meal drinks are deceiving when it's only 3 dollars a meal because when you click in it's not what you expect (2) when you are clicking through the options before you get to see the results (there are too many steps I reckon) you may want some photos in those option pages.

It's a nice website but could be improved with the information display on the company pages. I found it useful but only maybe for a one or two time visit. How to you get me back to visit again once I choose someone to keep ordering from?

PS. Jesus, there are too many chey wang's.

    • Thanks for the feedback chenwang. We got around 6000 visits last month.

We do seem have an ongoing issue with filters which we will fix asap. Sorry about that.

We are going to add tags for each supplier so it should be easier to see which ones are meal replacement drinks. It should be clear from the pictures though.

At present we generally get visits from people looking for deals or for services in their area. We get return visits every few weeks. In future we will probably add a login system or something to give tailored results and sent updates. Hopefully, that will get more people coming back.

Does that answer all your questions?
