I'll probably buy the Cairo if you can do the same deal ;)

    • Hey there, we could do a 30% off deal on the Cairo, however there will be shipping charges as it's quite a big unit! You can calculate the shipping cost by inputting your postcode into the shipping calculator on this page: https://www.designerfire.com.au/shop/c-59-freestanding-firep…

  • Hi, what about the Valencia. If you can do the same deal, I will pick one up too :-)

    • +1

Hi! I'm afraid we can't offer such a deal with the Valencia as we literally only have one left in stock! However if you pick up this last one, we can throw in a free slim lighter as well as a set of the decorative ceramic logs: https://www.designerfire.com.au/shop/c-63-accessories/p-62-c…

Just mention this offer in the comments section at checkout and I'll be sure to include the freebies for you! :)

      • done. thx

        • Awesome, will add those extras to your order!

  • These are for decorative purposes, rather then actually heating?

    • +2

Hey there, apart from being decorative, they can also warm a room (but not a whole house). The Madrid (as well as most other models on the site) feature a 1.5L burner which can warm a 20m2 room for up to 4 hours. The heat produced is ambient heat though (similar to a bon fire) and not circulated heat, as there are no fans to push the warmth out. Hope that answers your question!

  • Do you happen to have any decent fireplace tools (poker, dustpan, brush, tongs)?

    Thanks

    • +2

Ah sorry, we don't have anything like that, however there is a company called Agnews in Melbourne that has some good looking fireplace tools if you want to check them out? Sorry I couldn't help this time!

  • I'd suggest people be EXTREMELY CAREFUL with the purchase of these ethanol burners. Please see product ban documentation and strict requirements for the sale of these devices in Australia. DTTan, do your devices comply?

    • Certainly these products should be treated with the care and respect that an open flame deserves. All of the products currently sold on the Designer Fire site are exempt from the ban as they meet the ACCC's requirements. In fact, we worked closely in consultation with the ACCC (along with some other suppliers) and actually contributed to the terms of the National ban. Feel free to contact us directly for any further details or technical information.

      • Ok thanks. Can you tell me where the fuel is poured into in the Madrid? How much does the Madrid weigh?

        • The fuel needs to be decanted into the provided jerry can, which has a patented No-Spill spout and a built-in flame arrestor, then poured into the burner after making sure there is no existing flame and that it has cooled down (if refilling a fireplace that has run out of fuel). The dry weight of the Madrid fireplace is approx 22kg, and it measures 80cm wide x 60cm high x 31cm deep.
