Probably the cheapest quad core i7 laptop with current gen discrete GPU I have seen. The double storage is a nice touch, making even the 128gb usable without having to upgrade the SSD yourself. The E570p has been posted often enough that I don't have anything else to say. $300 cheaper than the similar specced Dell Inspiron 15 (though 2gb instead of 4gb vram)

Offer ends 9pm tonight.

Remember your 8% cashrewards and $250 amex offer if eligible (will need to add an extra $40 to reach $1299 minimum for the lower spec one)

  • I haven't seen any reviews on this model, but the specs are excellent for that price.

and Ame credit with over $1299 spend at Lenovo ;)

  • What do people think about this Vs the inspiron 5000 gaming which has the i5 HQ/4GB 1050Ti?

    • +1

For gaming the 4gb vram will be more important. For things like video encoding or photo editing work the i7 will be more important.

  • I'm a bit confused about the SSD, is the 512GB a 2.5" SSD? (512GB SSD SATA3) whereas the 128/256Gb are NVMe/M2? (Intel 256GB Solid State Drive, PCIe-NVMe)

The PCIe-NVMe will be slightly faster but confused if they can fit the 512Gb SSD and the 1Tb 2.5" HDD or if this is an error and it's a 512Gb m2. In the Tech Specs, it only supports "M.2 SSD and 2.5" HDD at same time"

      technical specs page:
      Storage
      HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s: 1TB 5400 RPM
      M.2 SSD / SATA 6.0Gb/s: 128GB
      M.2 SSD / PCIe NVMe, OPAL2: 256GB / 512GB
System supports M.2 SSD and 2.5" HDD at same time

      • Thanks @stellaaddicted

  • what is the 3 in the address mean? i.e. www3.

I just googled it, still don't quiet understand it but it seems common practice

    • the domain for Lenovo is Lenovo.com so anything they put in front of that could be for a different site or load balancing as they said before. sometimes you will see things like store.microsoft.com or mail.google.com, at the end of the day, the name before the domain is just how they design and segregate parts of the site. Each one of there subdomains can point to a different IP address. "www" at the start isnt needed and its more of a standard practice than a requirement.

thanks for the info, I've learnt something new :-)

  • Will it do 4k @ 60hz on an external monitor?>

  • Would the i7-7700HQ consume more battery than the i5 7300HQ or i7 7500U?
I would mainly use it for general web browsing/email/evernote,office,etc. Nothing task heavy and likely next to no gaming.

I don't really upgrade my laptop often so i don't mind spending more for more powerful CPU if it will allow for a bit of future proofing.
If it drains the battery more then I will consider the other 2 options.

    • i7 7500U notice the U at the end, that means the CPU is ultra low voltage, only has two cores and has more aggressive power saving measures (like underclocking).

But it is much weaker than HQ (which is H igh performance and Q uad core)

You will never fully utilize a Core HQ processor for everyday tasks, so there's little point in getting a E570p (unless you want to game from time to time)

  • What about the t series?

  • A late thankyou to fiximol for this deal. I got the i7-7700HQ, 128gb SSD/1TB HD/16GB ram version for $1364. I had been trawling for a few weeks for a Lenovo with a 1050ti around $1299.

After the $250 AMEX and 7% cashrewards cashbacks comes in at $1018.

Ordered this on 18th, shipped from Shanghai on 25th, arrived Sydney 27th, cleared customs on Sydney 28th, given to Consignee to bring it to Darwin on 29th (hopefully by air, not road…..)

Expected delivery date is 6th of September….

If anyone wants to know how it goes let me know.
