  • For those looking for a cheaper alternative, Xiaomi SOOCAS X3 Sonic Electric Toothbrush comes in at $64.26 AUD. Does 37,200 strokes/min, which is even higher than DiamondClean, However not many reviews, compared to Sonicare which is more trusted/proven with 4/5 rating (3,699 reviews) on Amazon.

Philips Sonicare DiamondClean does 31,000 brush strokes per minute.

I wonder if there are any other industries/products that may benefit from marketing their services in terms of 'strokes per minute'

        Nursing homes?

        • indeed

    • Or this $70 Sonicare toothbrush that does 31,000 strokes per minute and can be used with the same replacement brushes as the diamondclean.

  • Worth noting that this pack doesn't come with the recharger travel cases which go for about $60 each. If you buy individually for about $170 each at the moment you get the cases. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/323753#comment-4969553

    • Might be worth buying separately if it works out cheaper.

  • Great price for 2 toothbrushes, thinking of buying it, but after reading the reviews, decided to stick with Oral-B electric toothbrush, used for about 5 years now and still working. Please read https://www.productreview.com.au/p/philips-sonicare-diamondc… it appears the battery only lasts for about 2 to 2.5 years which is expensive for a toothbrush compared to Oral-B.

My Oral B wasn't much better to be honest.

I ended up opening mine up and replacing the battery after a few years of owning my Oral B. Required soldering to do it though.

Really sucks the batteries aren't designed to be replaceable. I would even care if it was a custom design that locked you into their own batteries.

  • I can't remember how much I got mine from Amazon UK for but I think it was sub $150. Definitely a good brush, but per above I'd probably give the Xiao Mi a go.

  • Any cheap heads atm?

  • Can you get cashback from eBay purchase?

    • Yes confirmed, from shavershop ebay. You will get local store invoice and cashback form.

      • Great, thanks!
