Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Toothbrush $201.95 Delivered (after $50 Philips Cashback) @ Shaver Shop eBay Store

100
PINCH

Best price from a well known Australian store at the moment. A few other smaller stores on eBay have it a bit cheaper such as this -

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Philips-Sonicare-Diamond-Clean-El…

However, there is a huge black market for these products so choose a supplier with care if you go down that path.

Shaver Shop has all 5 colours to choose from.

I also checked out the double pack which is on sale at Bing Lee, but note the travel case/chargers (which sell for around $70 each) are not included in that - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Philips-HX9368-35-Sonicare-Di…

Philips has $50 cashback promo going on for this - https://www.philips.com.au/c-w/promotions/sonicare-cash-back…

approx $206 delivered from Amazon.co.uk and it is a EVERYDAY price. if you can wait, Amazon may drop it to approx 80Gbp (currently 112 gbp with tax removed) its how many people here got their diamond clean.

  • $250 for a toothbrush? Is this a joke?

    • Sounds stupid I know… but if you try one of these you will see why they're the best. Removes every bit of plaque with no effort. Try it with a plaque discloser.

Absolutely no comparison to the Oral B models - expensive or cheap. However - you can pick up the base model sonicare for around $70 usually, which offers the same performance just less features, like the glass charger, all of the different modes and the travel case.

      Although I didn't pay 250, I thought the same 2-3 years ago.
Long term they are well worth the investment.

What kinda returns are you getting on this investment?

        • +6

Investment doesn't always relate to returns.

          One definition of investment

A thing that is worth buying because it may be useful in the future

          @slipperypete: someone got served

        • Your dentist would love you, money in their pockets.

    • For that price this brush better turn my teeth into diamonds

Hence you are still a goat. Hah.

Easily one of best purchases I've ever made. These things are worth the money and I've compared it to cheaper ultrasonic toothbrushes and this is so much better.

They last a long time, got an Oral-B that's still working after 10yrs! and there is good evidence they clean teeth much better from many different independent research studies. $200 vs a $4000 crown+root canal at the dentist. :p

      • lol… thats one really expensive crown + root canal you paid for…

$209 here before cashback and 10% discount, but anyone know if cashback still works for imports from HK or does it only apply to australian retailers like ShaverShop, Harvey Norman, etc?

    • i'm guessing retailers only according to T&C

  • Great toothbrush. Anyone know a good place to get replacement heads?

    • +1

My local Costco (Auburn) had a 6 pack of replacement heads for $39 or thereabouts earlier this year. Bought 3 packs, which will last me quite a while. Don't know of any other place that does them at a reasonable price.

      • that's a great price…thanks for passing it on

      • Do you happen to know if Costco stock the actual toothbrush and if so how much it is?

        • I remember seeing it on their coupons page a few months ago but I don't know if they still stock it nowadays, sorry.

  • Mine died after 2 years
I loved it but not enough to spend another $200 :'(

    • We have 4 in the household, 2 has died (wont charge or turn on) around the 2 yr mark, called Philips australia and they replaced with new after reading out the serial number and posting it to them.
As long as it was bought in australia, they have pretty good warranties. They have a 6month grace period so its like a 30 month warranty.

      • Do you happen to have the phone number?
I don't have my receipt, I bought it at the dentist and lost the invoice. Will it work with just the serial?

        Cheers mate!

        • 1300 363 391
They just need the serial. Give it a go and let us know the outcome.
The serial on the bottom actually has the manufacturing date too, so without the invoice, they will base it off the manufacturing date based on the serial.

        • @googoogaga: appreciate it I will try tomorrow

        • @googoogaga: hey mate
So I found the receipt by calling them (bought it at the dentist).
It was 7 months out of warranty but I posted it off anyway with a letter stating the circumstances.

They expressed me back the next model up (flexcare)
          Extraordinary

Thanks for telling me to give it a go

        • @science-teacher:

          that is a great outcome!

      • I've had a similar experience. Couldn't remember when I purchased or anything, and they checked the serial and covered it.

I was especially impressed because I had dropped it from face height only tile and it developed a rattle. I didn't have to return the old one.

      • Turns it its 6 months out of warranty after the 30 months. Bugger

        • If you love the performance but don't want to pay, try the ones I've posted above. They should offer the same power, but they don't have the charging glass or the modes.

Plus, if you have any left over heads, they will fit.

  • When my oral b toothbrush breaks down i'll try this brand

    • I had an oral b and skeptically replaced it with this. It really is a big improvement. Makes the oral b seem sluggish in comparison. Also much better battery, lasts for ages and doesn't slow down.

Dunno if it really makes a world of difference in cleaning…but it does feel nicer afterwards

  • Just a heads up, there's a new design model with a separate button for cycling modes. Also with bluetooth to connect to smart app. The app is very useful, but has problems connecting to the handle.
