    So there's no beer list?

I'm not gonna risk it considering some companies consider James Squire as craft beer.

    • +4

I do have a list from a prior email I'll try dig up. They were all legit.

They don't stock the pseudo craft, I believe. Other than Stone, arguably.

    • +1

If you have a look at the beers offered on the site, the likelihood of that occurring is low. From experience they use micro breweries. I think its a killer gift to give also. Not to mention free shipping on something that is easy 10kg.

      • +4

Yeah i'm willing to buy it myself, but would like to get an idea on what i'm buying, especially considering the amount of different beers i've tried in the past 12 months.

        • +1

I've checked in about 350 beers on Untappd since May, but it's a great deal for 25 individual beers. I love beer anyway, so worth the 'risk' in my opinion.

        • +2

          @jayz:

Jeez, is that 350 unique? If so, that's remarkable, like 4 beers a day!

I'm sitting on around 140 unique since September last year, and I thought that was pretty decent.

          @anzacpaul:

Yep! Basically been on holidays everywhere in since then lol.
North Carolina really helped out, had Brewgaloo in Raleigh (100+ breweries) and then Raleigh Beer Garden has like 380 beers on tap lol.

          From the email I got:
          Hargreaves Hill English Pale Ale
          4 Pines Kolsch
          Cavalier Brewing Pale Ale
          Mornington Peninsula Brewery Porter
          Holgate Pale Ale
          Nail Red Ale
Wolf of the Willows India Saison
Prancing Pony Brewery India Red Ale
          Murray's American IPA
Stockade Brew Co American Pale Ale
          Temple American Stout
          Vale Brewing Amber Ale
          Exit Brewing Milk Stout
Dainton Family Brewery Extra Session Ale
          Blizzard Brewing Kolsch
          Hope Brewhouse Extra Pale Ale
          Sample Brew Session IPA
          Colonial Brewing Co. Australian IPA
          Social Bandit Brown Ale
Cheeky Monkey Brewery West Coast IPA
Wayward Brewing Company India Pale Lager
Bad Shepherd Brewing Co Oatmeal Stout
Capital Brewing Co Californian Common Ale
          La Sirene Australian Pale Ale
          Pikes Beer Company Pilsner

I didn't get one as didn't really appeal, those beers. But I mainly drink heavy beers.

@anzacpaul: Wait to you goto Brugge. One litte bar I went to had a 300+ beer menu. We started talking to a bloke who seemed knowledgable (could tell what we were drinking by the glass & the history of the beer). He kept ordering our follow up brews. Turned out to be the owner, and a very cheap & drunken night.

          @Mobe1969:

Nice, plenty there I haven't tried.

I'm a heavy drinker too, a lot of Stouts and IPA's there which suit me.

        • @supabrudda:

          It's definitely on my list!!

        • @supabrudda: Mind sharing the name and location please? I'm heading to Bruges in early October and the place you describe sounds great!

        • +2

@ Ayanami it was many years ago, but I believe it was 't Brugs Beertje

          Here's their beer list
          http://www.brugsbeertje.be/English/our_beersbybrewery.htm

Bierbrasserie Cambrinus & Le Trappiste were worth a look.

        • @supabrudda:

          Brilliant, thanks :D

      • If you search boozebud xmas in july, there's a heap of instagram posts showing some of the beers. Seems to be a few decent ones in there! I stopped looking after a few just so I don't ruin the surprise for myself!

Can you use the code on the pack? i.e. 79.99 minus 15% ($67.99)?

    • Worked for me at checkout!

    • That's what happened :)

  • Ended up buying it, also get $5.74 site credit so not a bad deal, providing the beers are decent.

Will be interested to see how many run of the mill Pale Ales and Lagers there are.

  • They have what looks like the same mixed case on their ebay page. Price is a lot more expensive but it does list what beer is in the case - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Australian-Craft-Beer-Mixed-Case-…

Details of the cider case are listed here - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Australian-Craft-Cider-Mixed-Case…?

      • Just got mine delivered.. impressive to get same day shipping!

        • Can you tell me what beers are there?

        • @chowmanly:

From a quick glance, it's the same as the eBay list pasted above.

        • @roadeh: cheers mate

    • +1

dammit, i got it for 68, oh well, i got more credit….

    • Can you use for existing customers?

    $3.20 per bottle?
    Pretty expensive.

    • $2.52 if you use the code above ;)

    • +2

Use code FREEWINE and it comes down to $2.52 per bottle delivered.

    • +5

Curious where you can get single bottles/cans of craft beer for less than $3.20?

  • What would the expiry/best before be on these? Are they old stock?

    • I found their UK and US imports to be old stock

    • Best by dates are April/May 2018 for the couple of bottles I could find best by dates on.

  • +1

is it 24 beers or 25 beers?

    edit: Its 25. Cheers

  • I used standard shipping to save Boozebud some bucks. Ordered a smoked porter, saisons and tripels you can't get from Dan Murphy's.

    • Meaning you chose the beers in the mixed case?

      • +2

I didn't order the mixed case. The code worked for individual beers too.

  • Just starting to explore beer past your so called craft beers on tap at your local, so i'm happy to try this deal out, hopefully there'll be a few brown ales etc

  • +3

I've been using BoozeBud when it used to be called BeerBud and all the stocked was beer..They always ship quickly and do have some of the cheaper prices that I've seen online.
I got the 25 count down for Xmas last year and it was a great trip through various beers..I've been trying different craft beers for years now (before it blew up) and I got many I hadn't tried or normally wouldn't of purchased..So, it was great for me. Highly rec this group!

  • Who would pay $110 for a carton of beer? Even for craft beer

    • -4

Beer snobbery is trendy at the moment and there are always people willing to part with their cash to hop onto a fad.

I like trying new beers too but the snobbery of craft/micro brewery beers is just insufferable.

    • +3

Lol. That is the low end of the scale for heavy ales like imperial stouts.

  • Thanks, picked up a case.

  • I can vouch for Boozebud. Twice earlier this year I ordered at 2am and received delivery at 1pm that same day (used to be flat $7 express delivery) !
Their prices for single beers are almost always cheaper than Dan Murphy's and every other online store. However imported IPAs are old stock.

I've drunk most of a case bought from ebay. Maybe 6 very average beers - no better than say James Squires. similar number of really good beers. And the rest in between. But really will depend on your tastes. I bought another 2 cases (thanks OP).

  • -2

No way am I buying unless i am guaranteed to get my Dickens Cider…

  • +1

Wow. Very impressed with the box of beer I got. All the beer was rated at least 3.5 on Untappd.com. I looked them all up and rated them as i drank them all. What a deal that first order was. Very tempted to buy another box but don't want to pay $80
