Which Of These Android Phones under $350 Would You Recommend ?

Hi everybody. My Oppo Mirror 5S fell out of my jacket pocket on the ride to work yesterday, luckily an honest high school student from the local school found it, messaged one of my contacts and told them I could pick it up from the school office. Unluckily the screen is badly shattered.

Researching screen replacement it will cost me $80 at the bare minimum, not what I want to pay on a 2 year old phone that is no longer getting updates.

My budget is $350ish. And I want a phone from an Aussie seller with an Aussie warranty. Have had to send a phone to Malaysia for service before, never again.

I've had a read of the best mid range phone poll and some other pages and the phones I have my eye on are the

Oppo A57
Motorola Moto G5s
Nokia 6
HTC U Play
Samsung Galaxy J7 2017

I mainly use my phone for web browsing and social media. I don't watch a ton of videos nor play games on it if that helps.

Any care to recommend one over the other?
Has anyone had experience with any of these models?
Any recommend any other phones that might suit my budget?

    I wonder if same result if phone screen was not smashed.

    I say go the moto. Near vanilla Android and reasonable reviews would be my reason.

      Yeah I wondered that too. I took a box of favourites and a thank you note for the office to pass on to them though, I'd like to think they would have been that honest if it didn't break. Cheers for the recommendation!

    My recommendation is also a Moto G5+, good all-around performance and has a few sprinkles of Moto enhancements, but is actually mostly stock Android.

    Considering the reason you need to buy a new phone is because of the smashed screen, perhaps durability ought to be a consideration?

    If aesthetics are important the Moto is quite ugly and dated looking.
