How to edit a PDF

Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help me.
I receive water bills and rates notices via email as pdf, but they are always provided on landscape view and I prefer to have them as portrait view. I don't know how to turn them around.
Can anyone assist?
Thank you.

Surely your viewer has a rotate command? Failing that just search for PDF editor and you will get lots of choice.

If all you need to do is basic rotate / pdf splitting / merging,

    I'd recommend freeware pdfsam : http://www.pdfsam.org

    I don't like the updated version and use 2.2.4 : https://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfsam/files/pdfsam/2.2.4/

    • This is a great app. I use it daily to merge PDFs. For instance merging monthly statements into one yearly PDF.
It has also other great features, such as rotating. Exactly want you want to do.

      • agreed, use it at the work place, - plugins -> visual document composer

I think 2.2.4 was the last of the older versions (just stuck to it and never bothered to check) before it became even more cumbersome / packaged other crap into the installer

You sure you've not set the default view of your PDF viewer to landscape over portrait? As I'm sure that a user settings, but that being said if they are formatted to landscape, forcing them to portrait will be a layout mess.

    Rotate head 90 degrees

  • Use the Ctrl and [ or ] keys in Chrome.

  • I think it's ctrl shift and +

    • yes thank you, that worked.

  • Open it in Word and then print to pdf once you've finished your edits.

  • I've never received a bill in landscape???

It could be a bill from a landscaper.

    turn monitor on it's side.

    • Better turning the whole desk, then it's easier to use the mouse.
