  • I get $140.55 at checkout, ?

    • if you go through cashreward, add that 5% cashback, you will get that price that TS mentioned

      • Ah - I see. Ta

      • +2

Shouldn't it mention you need to actually have cashrewards to get this price?

        • lol, tell TS to do that, think he thought everyone knows how to go cashrewards and do it. guess not every ozbargainers are on the tightarse level.

      • Pricepal is 9%. Although i'm at founder level so YMMV

    • +1

Pay in USD using 28 degrees CC.
I bought 3 days ago, still hasn't shipped. I hope it does actually get here in the 5-8 days promised.

      • Got one during the last sale, arrived in 5 business days

    • Pay in USD and this price is AUD with a FX free card

  • Anything for RX100 camera?

    • +1

there are 3rd party adapters (mostly 3d printed) from youtube… just search RX100 Smooth Q

      • -1

So, in theory, I could grab one of these and put a weight on the back to counteract?

        • yep, pretty much. As long as it's balanced before you open the gimbal, it should put roughly the same amount of strain on the motors.

    • Pilotfly C45 is the only gimbal made for RX100, the motor placement allows you to see the screen and also has room for you to flip it up. http://pilotfly.com.tw/index.php?id_product=30&controller=pr…

      • Certainly not the only. Zhiyun CRANE-M can do that and the payload is better than Pilotfly C45 (650g vs 500g)

  • +2

What do I do with this thing?

    • +11

You wave it around, like you just don't care.

    • +6

Its kinda like a camera stabilizer. You don't get jittery movies when recording whilst moving/shaking the camera.

Do I need it? No. Do I want it. Yes!

  • Slow on shipping would be a compliment.. Try snail pace!

I bought a flash drive, took 5 days to pack and send plus 40 days to arrive!

  • Bought 1 from TomTop. Took 5 days to arrive Sydney, and another 8 days to reach Darwin.

  • This is cheap - bought one recently at TaoBao for ~$150 in China.

If someone can find be a deal on the GoPro version, Zhiyun-Tech Evolution. Would be greatly appreciated.

    • +2

let us know when you find one.

  • -1

So glad these look fixed in horizontal for 16:9 recording. Whoever let phones record in 9:16 when they could be easily flipped for viewing videos in 16:9 needs to be named and shamed.

  • nice

  • +1

This device is great, makes recording much smoother.

It also can be used as power bank to charge your device (e.g phone).

  • How is this compared with GoPro Karma Grip? Has anybody ever compared?

    • +1

It is not very comparable. Karma only support gopro, not your mobile phone. Zhiyun Q does both. Karma has a battery life less than 2 hour. Zhiyun Q is 12 hour. You can buy three Zhiyun Q for the price of one Karma.

  • Can u use this with the GoPro hero 5? TIA

    • +1

Yes, either with an adaptor or do it directly in vertical model (your gopro is still horizontal).

      • Cheers. Would u say this gimbal is worth it or are there better ones in your opinion?

        • +1

This gimbal has the best value if you need one. There is better ones like DJI Osmo Mobile but cost much more.

  • Nice deal but noob question looking for an excuse not to buy/spend: can't video stabilisation software do a similar job? Perhaps not live, perhaps not as well but maybe cheaper/free and maybe good enough for most OzBargainers' use cases/needs?

    • +1

Negative, little shakes can be done by software but software can't stabilise running movements or even walking ..

    • +1

I think stabilising footage before editing looks much better than via software. I'm no expert but the video stabilisation software I've used didn't make the video look natural, granted there's probably way better software than I've used.

I'm with the others here, Zapals shipping is painfully slow in my experience. I do own one of these and highly recommended it. I bought mine during one of the eBay promotions from DWI for $139. It express shipped from Hong Kong. I ordered Thursday night and received it Monday afternoon

    • +1

Fixing via software will almost always still give weird jitters and artifacts that are really distracting. Hardware is best!

  • FYI: The android app for this device is horrible. The apple version is far better. Something to keep in mind if you want to utilise this past its simple features. Still totally worth the money, but you'd get way more out of it with an iphone or ipad - much to my dismay

  • seems firstly need a apple device

  • +1

I would stay away from Zapals, after multiple attempts at warranty for an item and been chasing them up for over a month. They ignore you once you have purchased anything from them. Typical!

  • If anyone wants to get rid of theirs, message me, thanks.

  • Still some left in grey

  • Anyone had theirs shipped yet?
