Why can't you tell us here when you have changed the specifications?

  • Product Page shows $1,195.00 price. You can understand my reluctance to raise the matter on "LiveChat 24/7". https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5021677/redir

If you add the code "ozb30poff" in @ the checkout,
it says "Oz Bargin 30% Discount DIY Package -AU$358.50 "
      "Subtotal: AU$1,195.00
Discounts, shipping and tax will be calculated in checkout"

My issue (not that I'm in thre market for this) is that you have to sign into Paypal and authorise payment, before the discount is shown. I steer away from dodgey websites like that as you've essentially agreed for them to debit your card without seeing the finally total. That's like Woolies & Coles asking you to swipe your card before you scan your groceries. Dodgey dodgey dodgey.

But it is a bargain for what you get.

      • All you need to do is press the PayPal button and then the discount is applied on the next page, it doesn't debit any cards or any payments until you verify you shipping address and any special notes.

No, you have to sign into paypal with the total showing as $1195.

it should show the full price (discounts, shipping, etc) before you have to log into Paypal. I would never ever use a site like yours because I don't trust them. I doubt you're dodgey per say, and it more likely a wevdev who has no idea how to setup an ecommerce website especially with paypal. But then that means security is probably poor too.

Really, again would you swipe & pre-authorise your credit card when you went to a supermarket, restuarant, etc? or would you want to see the bill & the final total before doing so? It's stupid & untrustworthy. again it's dodgey, dodgey, dodgey.

    • Only one reported vulnerability for Xiaomi and that was in 2012. No listings I can see for home assistant, so the cheap setups that many of us are using look more secure at this stage (though of course it could just be that our vulnerabilities aren't in this site's list).

      • Only one reported vulnerability for Xiaomi and that was in 2012.

I read somewhere that Xiaomi doesn't "care" or respond to any security vulnerabilities discovered. Some of their cameras are OEM which are made by someone else.

What I would do is look at their default username/passwords and compare them with the 61 known passwords being used by the Mirai botnet.

Sounds like such a quality brand

    • Dahua is in the top five brand in the world.

  • They are trying. And for that here is an upvote.
Looks to a be a decent system that is all set up to go, cables and all.
Obviously not as cheap as buying individual cameras and the NVR direct from China, but less potential hassle and headache.

    • Thank you, we provide two years Australia warranty so anything goes wrong we take care of it.

  • Personally, I find it interesting how these are called security systems instead of surveillance systems.

  • Any DIY guide?

    • We are happy to assist you from beginning to end with the installation proccess. You can ask us any question you may have and we are here to help.

  • Might I have the model number of the NVR recorder?

    • Dahua NVR4216-8p
