I just use an old Android tablet for this. I actually discovered the other day that Tinycam Monitor (Pro) can also act as a webserver so you can have all your disparate cameras set up on it, and then connect to that even from outside your home network to see all your cam feeds.
This app looks amazing.
Can multiple installs of ozb famous xiaomi cameras all be connected into one tablet with this too?
If you install the hack on them yeah. not sure without hacking it
I've got two hooked up to it plus other cameras.
You will need to apply the Xaiofang hack first though. Tinycam has Xiaomi/Xiaofang as one of the selectable camera types to save you messing around trying to get generic camera config settings working.
Using 3G etc wouldn't impact anything, the real question to ask is can it be viewed outside of your home network.
And actually the answer from my 15m play is that although I can get onto the tinycam server, it isn't showing the Xaiomi feeds (my previous cameras still show up though.
I can't see why this would be a problem but haven't had time to look into it yet. I'm sure it's probably just something that needs configuring that I've got wrong.
If you really needed access you could always open up access to the cameras directly but that's kind of insecure, even though you can password protect them. Routing via tinycam is better assuming those cameras well work.
